The Environmental Justice Foundation (EJF) is an international non-governmental organization working globally to protect people and the planet.
EJF is working in Thailand to end illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing and human rights abuses on fishing vessels and actively promote improvements to policy- making, corporate governance and management of fisheries.
EJF is seeking to employ a campaign assistant in Thailand to help deliver policy reforms in the fishing industry. This position will include engaging with Thai Government monitoring and enforcement mechanisms, conducting fieldwork and research alongside EJF campaigners as well as regular interactions with other government agencies, private sector actors and partner organizations.
Successful candidates should be comfortable working independently and be confident in: conducting independent field-based research work; public speaking including at high-profile meetings. Candidates should also be prepared to travel within Thailand, potentially at short notice.
Post Title: Thailand campaign assistant
Type of appointment: Fixed-term
Compensation: 35,000 - 55,000 baht per month, depending on experience
Duration of contract: 6 months (potentially renewable or convertible to a permanent position, subject to performance review)
Location: Bangkok based with need to travel often.
