Always Reading Caravan (ARC) gRead the world!h Always Reading Caravan (ARC) is a nonprofit organization, which provides mobile library services to children and adults both with and without disabilities in rural areas of Thailand. It will promote the joy of reading and
fill in the gap between the existing education system and people who cannot reach it.
The various activities provided will create a sense of community regardless of physical differences. We will begin from a small gstory caravanhin the suburb of Bangkok. At primary schools, village temples, and houses of children with disabilities, we will conduct series of story-telling activities to encourage children to read more for fun. We are currently looking for motivated volunteer staff who would like to join our caravan with your talent and compassion. Your possible tasks include: -To visit villages with ARC staff and conduct story-telling activities for children. -To prepare materials to encourage children to read more. (Big-sized picture books, puppets for small puppet shows, etc.) -To translate picture books from foreign languages into Thai. -To enrich our website, especially in Thai language. If you love children or reading (or even both), if you are looking for something exciting and innovative, if you are thinking about starting something new, ARC is a right place to be! Each time we visit a village, we will provide each volunteer staff with 120 baht per day for transportation.
