International Sustainable Development Studies Institute (ISDSI) is a part of
The Foundation for Experiential Learning, a non-profit educational foundation
established in Thailand to help support the development of innovative
experiential learning internationally.
ISDSI is also an internationally recognized leader in study abroad, receiving
students from top American colleges and universities to study Thai culture
and ecology (www.isdsi.org).
ISDSI is also a partner organization with the Minnesota Studies in
International Development (MSID) program under the Learning Abroad
Center at the University of Minnesota, USA. (www.umabroad.umn.edu/
program/asia-oceanic/msid-thailand)
MSID is looking for a Program Coordinator position to join our team in
Thailand.
Position: MSID Thailand Program Coordinator
Responsibilities:
• Be the point person for MSID program; make sure that the program runs
smoothly.
• Correspond with MSID program director in preparation for the MSID
Thailand program.
• Coordinate with faculties, professors, internship coordinator, host family
coordinator, etc.
• Work with MSID Thailand program director to strengthen our teaching,
instructional training, and curriculum development related to international
development topics
• Work with local partners (NGOs and local communities) as needed to advance
their research, information dissemination, and programming as needed
• Assist in extending and deepening our partnerships with US colleges and
universities.
Skills and Qualifications:
• Thai Nationality
• B.A. Degree or above in International Development, Education, Social
Science, Sciences or professional training on International Development and/
or related field is desirable.
• Demonstrable abilities in teaching, planning, coordination and
communication.
• Self starter
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with people from diverse
cultures
• International cross-cultural experiences including living overseas preferably
• Excellent communication skills, both in spoken and written English
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Ability to travel overseas if necessary.
• Skilled in the use of computer software, internet research, MS office
