Position Profile

The Bangkok-based Program Officer role reports directly to the Thailand Deputy Country Director and Country Director. The responsibilities listed below are inclusive, but not exhaustive, of the role.  It is reasonable to assume that additional tasks will be requested, as and when needed.



Key Responsibilities

Lead development and implementation of Helmets for Kids projects in Thailand.

Lead the implementation of public awareness campaigns in Thailand



Lead the development and implementation of Helmets for Kids projects in Thailand

Manage project development, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation activities of allocated Helmets for Kids projects

Deliver school-based training and extra-curriculum activities; work with consultants and other staff to revise and adapt training curriculum when necessary  

Organize project events to ensure they run efficiently and effectively

Manage relationships with school directors, teachers, and education department to ensure successful project implementation

Ensure all program administrative requirements are completed

Manage budgets for allocated Helmets for Kids projects

Manage reporting requirements, including report writing and submission deadlines, for allocated Helmets for Kids projects

Develop TOR and supervisor consultants for needs assessment, project evaluation and training

Collaborate with Thailand program team as required


Lead the implementation of public awareness campaigns in Thailand (SHIFT)

Assist the Development Officer to develop public awareness campaigns in Thailand

Manage planning, budgeting, implementation, reporting, and evaluation of the public awareness campaigns in Thailand

Liaise with advertising and media agencies and other contractors


Build and manage stakeholder relationships

Assist in establishing and strengthening working relationships with national and local governments and stakeholders, including parent groups, police, and other social groups

Assist in creating and maintaining networks with appropriate celebrities & well-known personalities to help in public campaigns

Assist in nurturing national and local media and press networks to deliver focused campaign messages


Database records and management

Constantly save, update and share all projects data to country and central server system



Provide input to Thai and Central Development team for proposal development

Support fundraising activities as required

Attend meetings with potential donors as required



Manage timely production of all required communications materials for programs in collaboration with central communications team

Liaise with project sponsors to gain approval for communications materials

Assist the Operations Officer to create and post content to AIP Foundation website and Facebook


Staff Management (shared task)

Assign tasks and oversee the work performance of the Program Assistant

Coordinate with the Program Assistant to ensure all relevant program tasks are completed

Contribute to the professional development of the Program Assistant



Relevant university degree, preferably in the areas of public health, social science, education, and behavior change communication

Experience in participatory and child-centered planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation

Two years of work experience in development;

Experience in training and curriculum development will be a bonus

Excellent written and verbal skills in both English and Thai are a must

Ability to prioritize while managing expectations

Excellent communication skills

Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks

A dynamic and professional individual with initiative
