Report to:         Deputy Chief of Party/Chief of Party for USAID Community Partnership Project           



PREVENTION, The Thai Red Cross AIDS Research Center (TRCARC) in Bangkok, Thailand, is an organization under the umbrella of the Thai Red Cross Society. We provide outstanding HIV/AIDS treatment and care, foster innovative and responsible research, and train health care practitioners in HIV/AIDS.


Job Summary:

The USAID Community Partnership is a 3-year project supported by USAID and implemented under the Prevention Department, Thai Red Cross AIDS Research Centre (TRCARC).  The goal of the project is to establish a sustainable technical assistance (TA) platform for building the capacity of community-based organizations to provide quality Key Population Community-Led Health Services (KPLHS) for key populations. The key objectives of the project are 1) to build the capacity of community-based organizations (CBOs) to provide high-quality KPLHS; 2) to establish certification systems that allow CBOs to secure public-sector endorsement of KPLHS; and 3) to mobilize and leverage resources to sustain the KPLHS TA platform.


The Program Assistant is responsible for providing logistic and administrative supports to the project and the training as assigned. She also provides support for coordination and development of contracts with consultants, note taking, translation, as well as other technical work. She manages inventory list and filing of the project documents and contracts and performs secretarial tasks for the project.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide logistic and administrative support to the project and for conducting training as assigned.  This includes reservations of accommodations, transportations, meeting rooms, and coordination with partners for logistic support in a timely manner, etc.
  2. Manage printing, copying and reproduction of materials for the project and training.
  3. Perform secretarial roles for the project including taking meeting notes, coordination for the meeting, etc.
  4. Prepare purchase requisition and coordinate for purchase order for staff in the project.
  5. Prepare and maintain inventory list and manage supplies for timely use for the project. 
  6. Prepare document and coordinate for contracting consultant, manage the contract signing and payment process for the consultants.
  7. Other as assigned by Deputy Chief of Partyand/or Chief of Party.


Qualifications Requirement:

  1. Thai citizen only
  2. Bachelor’s degree in business, public administration, general management or related fields
  3. At least 1 year of experience in performing administrative tasks for international project
  4. Experience working with international organization is an advantage 
  5. Demonstrated ability to plan and organize work, assemble and coordinate materials, and serve as a team player, in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Ability to produce thorough, high-quality work within a tight time-frame.
  7. Flexibility and ability to handle multiple tasks
  8. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Applications.
  9. Proficiency in Thai and English
