Salary and benefits

  • Salary starts from THB 50,446 per month (inclusive of social security contribution)

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)

The Business Support Assistant serves as the contact person for the Budget & Programming products and services teams and will be responsible for the following duties:  

  • Provide revision and proof-reading services for project documents, to contribute to the development of accurate project documentation.
  • Perform technical steps in WFP corporate systems by entering, clearing and releasing budgets and project data ensuring adherence to existing guidance and policies and consistency of information.
  • Circulate budget documents for technical clearances as well as post budget release and inform concerned parties accordingly
  • Compile operational needs and shortfalls data to support regional summary reports as inputs to decision making and for further reference by other staff.
  • Contribute to the preparation of various analyses on project and financial performance against planned levels and implementation status helping to assure optimal resource utilization in close coordination with the supervisor.
  • Identify simple discrepancies in statistics and data, such as missing information, and report to senior staff in order to support clients to deliver their work.
  • Participate in the design of reports, systems and tools to facilitate monitoring of resource utilization and identification of surpluses and shortfalls.
  • Take responsibility for the team’s information and knowledge management/maintenance efforts to ensure relevant information is accurate and readily available to the function through central depositories and filing systems.
  • Participate in the preparations for various regional meetings and senior management visits to the region.
  • Provide guidance on routine business support methods and practices to colleagues to ensure services are delivered consistently and to required standards.
  • Support the team with the provision of business and administrative support services as required.
  • Perform other related duties as required.




Minimum secondary school education, including or supplemented by courses related to the area of work. A university degree in Business Administration, Statistics, Finance, Economics or other related fields would be an advantage.


Four or more years of progressively responsible work experience in the relative business stream (finance, budgeting or similar field) with experience in administrative work.

Experience in providing support for efficient planning, monitoring and analysis of project operational and financial performance to enhance optimal use of financial resources would be advantage.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Proficient in the use of office equipment and computer software packages, including word processing, spreadsheet and other standard software packages such as Microsoft Word.
  • Knowledge of work routines and methods in order to complete processes under minimal supervision.
  • Uses tact and courtesy to give and receive information to a wide range of individuals.
  • Ability to identify data discrepancies and rectify problems requiring attention.


Fluency in both oral and written communication in English and Thai.
