About the TIJ and Project
In February 2020, the TIJ co-organized the 2nd ASEAN Conference on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice (ACCPCJ) with a view to promote the regional dialogue and to strengthen cooperation among relevant stakeholders in addressing cyber threats. Following such initiative, the outbreak of the pandemic increasingly highlights a need for concrete actions towards the fight against cybercrime as rising number of people are vulnerable to the impact of online threats, especially children and women. In this light, the TIJ plans to undertake a research project on cybercrime landscape in Thailand with an aim to review the overall situation in order to identify gaps, challenges, and solutions in the country. It is expected that output of the study could be
a comprehensive ground for relevant stakeholders to respond to the problem of cybercrime together.
