Background
Help without Frontiers (www.helpwithoutfrontiers.org) is an NGO that was established to provide aid, help and relief to Burmese refugees and migrants in Thailand and Myanmar.
Since 2002, Help without Frontiers has provided support along the Thai-Myanmar border to displaced people who find themselves in emergency situations from which they are unable to escape without assistance; most of them are children and youth, and we give them a chance for a better and brighter future.
At Help without Frontiers we focus on five core areas; Education; Youth Empowerment; Child Protection; Health; and Community Development.
Role purpose
We are searching for a methodical and strategic grants manager to work with our organization in enhancing funding models, identifying new sources of funding, and developing sustainable and effective grants programs.
The grants manager’s tasks will include managing overall grant efforts, including engaging with donor agencies, reviewing grant proposals, preparing progress reports, and ensuring compliance with grant regulations. Managing grant databases and educating staff on relevant policies and procedures will also be part of the responsibility.
The scope of the role also includes financial aspects, including documenting payments and expenditure, and preparing financial reports. In addition, the selected candidate will be expected to use creativity and initiative in optimizing the grant administration process, overseeing fundraising, and improving business opportunities through effective funding programs.
