Job Profile:
Reporting to the Urban Light Thailand Director, the Bookkeeper will have a vital role in keeping all of the cash flow of the organization accurate and up-to-date. This is an extremely important role where attention to detail is of utmost importance. This role is increasingly important as the organization expands its donor and partner base and the Bookkeeper must be ready to submit his reports for audit from outside independent institutions. Compensation will be determined from the applicant’s qualifications. Job Description:
Responsibilities:
Bookkeeping
Manage all cash flow, both in and out, in cooperation with all Urban Light staff
Maintain and oversee financial databases
Design, implement, and further improve Urban Light’s financial record keeping and systems
Send records to both the Founder and Director on a weekly basis
GENERAL
Perform other tasks as required by the Thailand Director
The Bookkeeper will be expected to:
Contribute to the development of reports as required by the Director, including but not limited to, quarterly, bi-annual, and annual reports
Move Urban Light’s bookkeeping onto a more secure platform that is in line with basic accounting practices
Adhere to the Child Protection Policy, related Health and Safety practices and all Urban Light Policies and Code of Conduct.

Job Competencies:
Skills:
Must be fluent in written and spoken Thai language. English speaking a plus
A B.A. or higher in business, finance, and/or accounting
Past experience of at least 2 years in the relevant field of financials, record keeping, and data entry analysis
Able to quickly form positive relationships with clients and staff
Communication (written and verbal), listening and analytical skills
Time management and ability to multi-task
Strong interpersonal, relationship building and networking skills
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and the use of Google Drive
Proficiency in quick-books or other accounting software
Impeccable track record of bookkeeping in the past with little to no inaccuracies
Knowledge:
The latest in the financial field of most recent changes and the most up-to-speed accepted accounting practices
Be familiar with local laws and regulations regarding best practices in accountability and transparency for non-profits in Thailand
