The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is an impartial, neutral and independent organization whose exclusively humanitarian mission is to protect the lives and dignity of victims of war and internal violence and to provide them with assistance. The ICRC regional delegation in Bangkok provides assistance to victims of violence and works with authorities in order to improve the conditions in detention facilities. It also endeavours to promote and to strengthen humanitarian law and universal humanitarian principles.
We are looking for a
Cashier, based in PATTANI
Main responsibilities
• Handle general cash disbursement of medium size sub-delegation in various currencies
• Explain cash procedure to clients
• Assume some responsibilities for specific files
• Handle routine and basic cashier work mainly independently
• Report on any irregularities immediately
• Ensure respect of financial procedures and guidelines
• Perform various office works such as typing, filing, mail preparation, etc.
• Assist the Administrator in her daily task.
• Type drafted and standard correspondence
Your education and experience
• Bachelor's degree or business and administration education
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar field
• Good communication, analytical and interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team
• Self-motivated with strong organization skills, able to work independently on specific tasks
• Good command of English and Thai in writing and speaking required.(Malayu or other)
• Flexible & willing to travel within the areas of ICRC operations (e.g. Pattani, Yala, Narathiwat, Songkla) as well as travelling to remote rural areas
• Very good computer skills: word processing, excel, presentation software, electronic diaries, knowledge of Lotus Notes would be an advantage
• Possess a valid driver license and has proven driving skills (must be able to drive manual and automatic gear or ready to learn it at own expense)
