Project Coordinator
Title: Project Coordinator
Assignment duration: 4 Months (Part-Time)
Duty Station: Bangkok, Thailand
Role Purpose:
Asian Resource Foundation (ARF) is an NGO based in Bangkok, Thailand. Since 1996 ARF has been responding to the needs of vulnerable communities through education, women’s empowerment and youth leadership development. ARF also provides a number of workshops and trainings on peacebuilding, conflict transformation, negotiation and skills development at the International Institute of Peace and Development Studies (IIPDS).
ARF seeks to appoint a Project Coordinator for the ‘Women Empowerment through Entrepreneurship Skills Development’ project in Bangkok.
The Project Coordinator will be responsible for the overall implementation, coordination and management of the project, ensuring program implementation with quality and cost effectiveness. The Project Coordinator will provide support to ensure that the project can deliver high quality activities on time, meet target and objectives and ensure donor contract compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Project Manager to implement, monitor and facilitate project implementation with multiple stakeholders
Keep track and records of project expenditures
Liaise with community members, trainers and other stakeholders
Draft project documents like donor reports and other communication materials
Frequent travel to project site (Nong Chok) for facilitating the training, monitoring project progress and producing targeted quality outputs
Other tasks as assigned by the Project Manager
Work Experience and qualifications:
Thai National (or able to legally work in Thailand without sponsorship from the ARF)
Language: Fluent Thai and good English communication skills
Ability to communicate with stakeholders from diverse background with cultural, gender-sensitive and professional manner
Prior experience of planning and organizing meeting and events highly desirable
Previous experience in NGOs is an advantage
Please note that this is a part-time position of the duration of 4 months based in Bangkok, which will also involve working on weekends during the implementation of the project and frequent travel to the project site.
Salary: Commensurate to qualifications and experience
