Introduction
The Borderland Health Foundation (BHF) is a non-for-profit, non-confessional and non-political organization, registered in Thailand. The Foundation is linked to a field station of the Mahidol - Oxford University Research Unit (SMRU Clinics) which are located in Mas Sot, Mae Ramat, Phob Phra, Tha Song Yang and Umphang districts in Tak province, Thailand. BHF works with marginalized populations along Thailand-Myanmar border by focusing on health care services and public health issues with its focus on malaria, tuberculosis, and maternal and child health.
Job Summary: A content creator specializes in creating content for social media posts. Such content includes Facebook posts, images, and videos. Because of the scope of this work, sometimes he/she could double up as the designer for the social media team. He/She might also be responsible for taking posts planned by the Media Group Supervisor and getting them ready to be scheduled and published.
Tasks/Responsibilities:
Text-based content

Write, reviewing, editing, and updating content for SMRU/BHF websites, social media pages and public communications

Assisting the web content as needed and will work closely with the web developer.

Work with the internal team to gather materials/information for social media postings.

Collaborate with the SMRU/BHF Media Group Supervisor to schedule and organize the workload to ensure deadlines are met.
Image-based content

Work closely with Video Editor/Graphic designer for photography, creating posters, handbooks, illustrators, graphic design, etc.
Video-based content

Write a script, recording audio, editing audio, and creating a finished audio file and collaborate closely with the video editor and the SMRU/BHF media team.

Formulate and host interviews in various formats. Q&A sessions performed through email, discussions, or even in-person interviews, recorded and produced into new content.

Collaborate with and assist the video editor to produce consistent, high-quality photos and videos.

Perform other media activities as assigned by SMRU/BHF Media Group Supervisor
Requirements, skills, and qualifications:

Expert knowledge of Adobe Premiere editing software.
-
3+ years of experience in multi-platform content creation.

Undergraduate degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of skills, training, and hands-on experience.

Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Ability to meet short deadlines, work in a fast-paced environment, and coordinate with various teams, departments, and divisions.

Ability to work independently, as well as a valuable member of a team, and flexible to travel in the fields with the SMRU/BHF media team

Highly organized with strong time management skills

Proven work experience as a Content writer/Creator or similar role

Strong writing and editing skills including the ability to write for various formats, such as blog posts if needed, social media content, and video scripts.

Content creators must understand how well their content performs, how to change it to perform better, and how to develop reports on that performance for the people who make decisions above them.

Good command of written and verbal Karen, Burmese, and English.

Thai language skills would be an asset
