Marketing Communications Manager
Location: Bangkok Office
The Marketing Communications Manager provides strategic and technical leadership for Plan International’s marketing communications work in Thailand. The successful candidate will ensure that communications activities support achievement of Plan’s Country Strategic, Plan goals and delivery of global, regional and country-level communications objectives; helps to raise children’s voices on issues that affect them; documents and promote our programs, progress and milestones; mobilises resources and informs key stakeholders and the public about our work.
The Marketing Communications Manager will lead the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of strategic and innovative approaches to marketing communication that raises the voices of children, families and communities affected by poverty, disasters and social exclusion. In doing so, they will contribute to the development and maintenance of an engaging, proactive and credible public presence for Plan International Thailand, supporting and driving our work to promote the rights and interests of Thailand’s most vulnerable and marginalized children.
The Marketing Communications Manager will be responsible for ensuring that:
Plan International Thailand is visible, engaging, respected and active in the public domain;
Our work and key messages are shared as widely as possible;
Children and youth are supported to raise their voices on issues that affect them;
We are prepared to respond to emergencies;
All communications work supports achievement of Plan's strategic global vision.
This role will also work to strengthen Plan’s capacity to be prepared for, and respond to, future emergencies in accordance with accepted principles, practices and standards.
Responsibilities:
Working with regional and country-level communications staff and key stakeholders to plan, implement, monitor and evaluate a Communications Strategic Plan and work plan that supports delivery of the Plan Thailand Country Strategic, Plan goals and contributes to global and regional communications objectives.
Leading the delivery of innovative and outcomes-focused strategic communication across the full spectrum of communications specialisations, including internal communications, media relations, online communication, advocacy communication, donor communication, issues management, branding, community engagement and events management.
Fostering strategic integration of program and communication activities, including communications capacity building of staff and joint work to raise the voices of children and youth.
Facilitating the development of strong internal and external linkages with staff, other Plan offices, other development and humanitarian actors and media outlets within and beyond the country.
Lead, build and manage a team of graphic designers, media specialists and copywriters to produce high-quality publications and materials in a timely manner.
Advising on, and managing, issues and risks related to Plan’s communication and media work in the Thailand.
Developing and overseeing execution of the communications budget.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism or a related discipline
5 years of demonstrated work experience in marketing communication, PR and advocacy and in the development and implementation of campaign activities
At least 3 years of work experience at the management level
Strong creativity, strategic, analytical, organisational and personal sales skills
Fluent in Thai and excellent written and spoken English
Background/education in media relations and/or work experience in journalism
Hands-on experience in print production, audio/video production, website development and social media management
Excellent computer skills, especially in publication and presentation software
Experience in an international cross-cultural environment preferred.

Country Human Resources Manager
Location : Bangkok Office
Roles: The Human Resource Manager will lead the organisation towards becoming the most relevant voice on child rights in Thailand and in achieving the organisation’s objectives, through the recruitment and development of highly competent, motivated and committed staff.
To provide leadership and strategic direction, maintain and enhance the organisation’s human resources by planning, implementing and evaluation employee relations and human resources of Plan Thailand based on the Plan’s corporate HR principle, policies and best practices.
. Responsibilities :
Planning
Country HR Strategies; manpower, training and development, compensation and benefits, law issue, staff relationship, talent management, succession planning, organisation development, and Human Resources Policies & Procedures
HR plan, budget and reports
HR Management and Development Plan for country staff
HR Administration Management
Country HR processes policies and procedures.
Recruitment, compensation and benefit, payroll, training and development, labor law issues and staff relations
Management Core Management Team
Supports and encourages focal point managers in related areas to settle in and to strengthen staff in their work process, HR Management, policies, and procedures.
Promotes through HR interventions on Child Centered Community Development approach, child right/protection and resource mobilisation interventions, as cutting across strategies in Plan Thailand
Represents Plan Thailand related HR forum as assigned
HRM/HRD
Preparation and implementation of the country HR strategy plan
Preparation and management of the country HR budget
Setting Up and Implementation of consistent HR policies and practices that support and are consistent with the global policy and are legally compliance
Manpower Planning and Recruitment of the qualified candidate within the timeframe
Advise and counselling managers on sound employee relations and their HR issues including appraisal, disciplinary measures, restructuring and HR policies
Review of organisation structure, roles and competency requirements, standardized job descriptions for each position, salary structure & compensation and benefit package to be competitive with the market
Set up and implement the training and development for staff as needed
Design and delivery of coaching and mentor program for Managers
Design, develop, training, and evaluation the induction program
Embed the appraisal process across the country
Support and implement the Global Talent Management process within the country
Provide individual counseling
Ensure a process of smooth transition for families to new locations/postings is in place
Design, develop, and implement the staff relationship and promotion program
Effective representative of the Country in HR Role
Staff Data Record System is completed and prompt for usage
Staff’s health safety is promoted and including in HR Policies
Manage the completed reports for timely submission as required.
HR Team Management
Manage, motivate, develop, coach, and monitor team performance and drive them to achieve the performance expectations/standards
Others
Perform other tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
At least Bachelor Degree in HRM or equivalent
At least 3-7 years of experience working in an HR generalist capacity & at least 3 years as a senior management role
Experience influencing organisational policies and practice in the areas of HR
Experience in major HR functions such as organisational design, performance management, reward management, recruitment/selection, training and development
Strong team working skills, coaching, mentoring, planning, organising, influencing and persuading
Strong knowledge in HRM, HRD and labour law
Good writing and speaking in English language and computer skills
