The Head of the fundraising programme will be responsible for an investment budget, leading income generation through regular monthly donors. This position role will accelerate the growth of Fundraising nationally and will deliver continuous, sustainable income growth through the development and successful implementation of a holistic Fundraising strategy.
This crucial role will ensure that Amnesty International Thailand inspire, recruit, and retain committed donors and supporters who share their vision and determination to protect and defend people’s lives.
OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Reporting to the Section Director, the Head of fundraising programme will raise revenue and expand Amnesty International Thailand’s donor base when it comes to one-off donations, regular/monthly giving, and digital fundraising. This position is responsible for the growth of individual giving by developing and implementing fundraising campaigns, mainly through digital platforms.
The Head of Fundraising Programme’s responsibility is to oversee the fundraising function of Amnesty International Thailand through the development and delivery of an integrated strategic approach to all areas of the Section’s fundraising work. A member of the Senior Management Team, the primary expectations of the post are to further develop and implement the fundraising and membership strategy and to increase, manage and monitor the fundraising income of Amnesty International in Thailand. The postholder will be responsible for line management of 4 staff members, including the digital fundraising manager, and the growth mobilization team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic oversight of the national Fundraising strategy; ensuring that Amnesty International Thailand continue to develop a multi-channel sustainable approach to Fundraising
Develop and manage the fundraising expenditure budget of Amnesty International Thailand and take overall responsibility for efficient administration of donor transactions. Ensure good financial management practices and regular financial reporting of fundraising income.
Develop, implement, and improve digital fundraising campaigns to acquire, engage, cultivate, steward, and upgrade donors through all digital channels (email appeals, webpages, social media, mobile platforms, online content monetization, and other creative outlets) with a goal of maximizing long-term revenue in line with the global fundraising strategy.
Work with the wider international Amnesty networks to gain further insight on Fundraising trends and practices, driving a culture of Fundraising innovation and trial and test across the organisation.
Develop an integrated fundraising program by working closely with the campaigning team, activist and communications team
Work closely with the Global Fundraising team to develop the Fundraising Investment Plan for Amnesty International Thailand on a yearly basis, and implement the fundraising plan to meet the annual income target
Build effective partnerships with contracted supplier agencies and oversee all aspects of their work on behalf of Amnesty International Thailand.
Ensure high quality of training and performance management of Amnesty International Thailand’s Fundraising Team and their agencies.
Lead the monitoring and analysis of fundraising activities against agreed targets
Establish and manage an effective centralized supporter relationship management system capable of supporting integrated mobilization of activism and resources
Reporting into the Director and the board, report on Fundraising results and budgets
Develop and lead a results-focused supporter and donor centric approach to Fundraising
Provide inspiring and effective support, mentoring and coaching to direct reports and the broader team
As a data led decision maker, ensure that we are working to best practice retention and engagement strategies that continue to provide growth across the Individual Giving programme
Ensure the appropriate structures, people, processes, and systems are in place to achieve ongoing growth
PERSON SPECIFICATION
A degree in Marketing, Development studies, social sciences, Communications or another relevant field from a recognized institution, or equivalent work experience
At least five years of professional work experience in direct marketing, sales or fundraising from individual givers.
Proven track record of success in marketing or fundraising, and proven coordination, project and people management skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. A proven, passionate, and inspiring leader who can motivate high performing teams and build a strong culture across a national team.
Excellent analytical skills and high level of numeracy. A data led Fundraiser with experience in building supporter centric programmes
Experienced Fundraising leader with experience in building and implementing multi-channel Fundraising strategies to achieve significant growth
Successful development and management of million-dollar expenditure budgets and financial reporting experience
Demonstrated experience in a senior management team, with the ability to influence across an organisation and contribute to wider strategic decision making
A passion and commitment to Amnesty International Thailand’s mission and vision to campaign courageously for human rights for everyone
