Internship for Communication Tasks for Save the Children Thailand
- Introduction:
Save the Children Thailand is offering an exciting internship opportunity for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual interested in communication tasks. This internship aims to enhance the intern's skills in collecting and curating communication materials, supporting advocacy and campaign initiatives, and assisting in organizing a significant campaign event. The selected intern will have the chance to contribute to meaningful projects and make a positive impact on the lives of children and communities. The duration of the internship will be 60 days, commencing immediately and concluding in December 2023.
- Responsibilities:
The intern will be actively involved in the following tasks:
- Content Curation and Creation: Work closely with the Advocacy, Campaign, Communication and Media (ACCM) team to curate and create compelling content for social media platforms, newsletters, press releases, and other communication channels.
- Gather stock footage, photos, case studies, and other relevant materials to enhance the organization's communication efforts. These materials will be utilized in various advocacy, campaign, and media-related activities.
- Collaborate with the Advocacy, Campaign, Communication and Media (ACCM) team to assist in the implementation of advocacy and campaign strategies. Contribute innovative ideas to effectively engage the target audience and create a meaningful impact.
- Provide support in the preparation and execution of an upcoming campaign event. Help with logistics, event coordination, and any necessary administrative tasks related to the event.
- Provide support to social media officer to engage with online audiences, respond to inquiries, and support the development of social media content to increase the organization's online presence and visibility.
3. Qualifications:
- Fluent in both spoken and written Thai, with a strong command of the language to effectively communicate with local stakeholders and beneficiaries.
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal, enabling seamless communication with the international team and external partners.
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Communication, Media Studies, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Strong interest in nonprofit/NGO work and child-focused initiatives.
- Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal English and Thai.
- Proficiency in using digital communication tools and social media platforms.
- Creative mindset and the ability to think critically to develop engaging content.
- Basic knowledge of graphic design and photo/video editing software is a plus.
4. Duration and Schedule:
The internship will span 60 days, beginning immediately and ending in December 2023. The intern is expected to work approximately 30 hours per week, with a flexible schedule to accommodate academic commitments or other responsibilities.
