Role Purpose:

The role aims to manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including account payable/receivable, general ledger, treasury, budgeting, cash management, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, fixed asset activity, treasury, tax.  In addition, the incumbent is expected to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, corporate policies and external audit, including accurate and timely financial reporting, make recommendations and improvements.

Key Accountabilities:

• Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce required financial reports or statements.
• Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, principles throughout Rak Thai organization.
• improve accounting system and procedures and initiate corrective actions to meet financial accounting key objectives.
• Monitor and record transactions and financial events in compliance with generally accepted accounting principle (GAAP) and Rak Thai policies.
• Maintain updated expertise over accounting operations to be able to provide ongoing coaching to team members.
• Ensure accurate and timely accounting reporting; monthly, quarterly, and year-end close.
• Respond to inquiries from SMT and other internal key stakeholder in terms of accounting results and special reporting requests.
• Work with FD to implement the new procedures and any related projects to improve workflow of the department.
• Work with FC to utilize information technology, business connections and intelligence to produce process enhancement and develop real time KPI reporting.
• Maintain a solid and effective relationship across all business groups.; collaborate with other managers to realize overall business goals.
• Provide realistic, thoughtful, candid insights into relevant business matters.
• Establish internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation.
• Manage the monthly financial close process, including ensuring all cost incurred are properly recorded, reviewing journal entries, account balance reconciliations and report preparation.
• Make recommendations for changes as needed and ensure that Rak Thai policies and procedures are followed and establishes the proper techniques to discover and prevent fraud.
• work with accounting team in preparing balance sheet and budget reports.

Person Specifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance
• Proven working experience as Accounting Manager or Finance Manager.
• Advanced computer skills on MS office, accounting software and databases.
• Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, legislation, regulations, e.g. CPA, GAAP.
• Able to coach and supervise team members.
• Being flexible, adaptable with technology and high level of integrity.
• Detailed oriented, self-motivated, well-organized with high level of understanding of financial and operational controls.
• Able to analyze and prsent financial results.
• Greate communication, presentation, negotiation, customer service skills.
