ADRA has been working with vulnerable and marginalized communities in Thailand since 1984. ADRA works with people in poverty and distress to create just and positive change through empowering partnerships and responsible action.

 

ADRA Thailand is currently seeking applicants for the position of Project Cashier to work at our project office in Kanchanaburi to support our vocation and education projects.

 

Responsibilities:

1. Manage funds for project activities

1.1 Withdrawing funds from the bank according to requests

1.2 Depositing remaining funds

1.3 Conduct monthly bank and account receivable reconciliations

2. Maintain petty cash funds

2.1accurately recording all expenses into the petty cash register

2.2 maintain the daily petty cash count

3. Collect all project expense reports from the project/field office and send to Chiang Mai on time

3.1 review all receipts and ensure that all expenses and details on receipts are in line with ADRA Thailand Finance and Procurement policies

3.2 ensure that all support documents and receipts are attached to payment vouchers

4. Assist the Area Coordinator to request funds from Chiang Mai as required

5. Process small payments for project activities (trainer stipends)

6. Monitor and analyze monthly actual spending compared to approved budget

7. Assist with procurement as needed

8. Perform small admin tasks to ensure a smooth running office

9. Support good ongoing communication between all staff members

 

Preferred candidates are expected to meet the following:

1. A strong commitment to ADRA’s mission, vision, and values

2. Ability to accurately prepare, review and analyze financial and statistical reports

3. Bachelor Degree in accounting for related field

4. Minimum of 2 years experience in finance positions similar to that described above

5. Proficiency with Computers, including Excel, Microsoft applications, and email

6. Intermediate written and spoken English and Thai skills; Karen, or Burmese language skills a plus

7. Ability to take initiative and work independently

8. Strong cross cultural and interpersonal skills
