Yunus Thailand (YT) works as a driving force for social business in Thailand, empowering entrepreneurs to solve the world’s most pressing challenges. YT was co-founded by Muhammad Yunus, winner of the 2006 Nobel Peace Prize for his contributions in the fight against poverty and inequality. Through his work pioneering modern microfinance and launching the social business movement, it is estimated that Professor Yunus has lifted more than 50 million people out of poverty, and the microfinance and social business concepts he established with Grameen Bank have been replicated in nearly every country in the world. We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented, and well-organised Seaweed Supply & Partnership Coordinator to join our team. In this role, the Coordinator will work closely with the Seaweed Social Business Team to coordinate, develop, and manage information and documentation related to the seaweed supply chain—from producers and processing manufacturers to clients—while supporting smooth communication and collaboration throughout the production and delivery workflow.
The Coordinator will play a key role in tracking production progress, monitoring client needs, product quality, and deliverables; collecting field data; coordinating community check-ins together with the Seaweed Officer; gathering feedback from both producers and clients; and ensuring that all processes and documentation comply with agreed standards and align with project goals and sustainability principles.
This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to Yunus Thailand’s mission, strengthen the safe seaweed social business ecosystem in Thailand, and support coastal communities to grow in a meaningful and sustainable way.
Responsibilities:
Lead coordination of the seaweed supply chain, managing communication and workflow between producers, manufacturers, and clients.
Track product movement, quality, and compliance with agreed standards and documentation requirements.
Drive sales of new seaweed products by leading client engagement efforts.
Conduct regular check-ins with seaweed producers: biweekly progress tracking of community seaweed volumes, in coordination with the Seaweed Officer.
Maintain ongoing communication with clients to confirm order details, ensure timely production and delivery, gather feedback, and ensure satisfaction.
Track product movement, quality, and compliance with agreed standards and documentation requirements.
Support continuous improvement by collecting field data, identifying supply chain issues, and proposing practical, timely solutions.
Collaborate closely with the internal SSB team to align supply operations with overall project goals and sustainability principles.
Report directly to the Seaweed Social Business Lead.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in client relations and coordination.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and maintain positive professional relationships with producers, suppliers, and clients.
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong skills in tracking timelines and deliverables.
Able to communicate effectively in both Thai and English.
Proficient in using communication tools, Excel, Google Forms, and project management apps.
Committed to sustainability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
