1. Business Development Manager

 

Position Summary

Part of the core team of the Center for Social Entrepreneurship, Mae Fah Luang Foundation, in replicating Doi Tung Development Project successful social enterprise model to make larger impact in more communities. Business Development Manager provides full service in building sustainable community-based businesses from conducting researches, feasibility study, and complete business plan. 

 

Description of Responsibilities

- Develop business plan for communities’ product (including management, marketing, operational, financial plan)

- Conduct feasibility study on potential businesses related to community development

- Research and look for new opportunities to develop new business and create value-added of communities’ product

- Oversee all aspects of operations, ensuring effective customer service, product quality, and stakeholders/communities/suppliers relations

- Deliver a professional, high quality and outcome-focused business administration

 

Qualifications and Requirements

- Master’s degree in business administration, marketing, management or related fields

- At least 5 years of work experience in the related field 

- Have good understanding about social enterprise (SE) concept. Having experience working with SE is an advantage

- Thai, female or male, age of 27 – 32 years old

- Ability to develop feasibility study and business analysis

- Ability to communicate effectively both in Thai and English

- Competence in MS Office programs, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint

- Proactive and creative approach mindset

- Good communication and interpersonal skills and excellent team player, with a flexible and open-minded attitude

- Ability to work within tight deadlines and under pressure

- Willingness to travel for field work on a regular basis with long stay

2. Assistant Programme Manager

 

Position Summary

Part of the core team of the MFLF responsible for outreaching the development approach of HM King Bhumibol and HRH the late Princess Mother of Thailand to solve the problem of poverty and lack livelihood opportunities for underprivileged communities, while maintaining a balance between humans and the environment. The Assistant Programme Manager is directly responsible for all back-office support functions for a specific programme (or several small programmes) from initial planning, funding proposals, logistical support, networking, performance monitoring, reporting, through to designing an exit strategy for the programme to ensure its sustainability. This function will work in close cooperation with an experienced field operational team in order to realize successful implementation on the ground.   

Description of Responsibilities

Pre-project implementation preparations

- contribute to designing and supervising baseline surveys,

- prepare project concepts and work plans in consultation with senior management and a multi-disciplinary team,

Management of programme implementation

- provide all the necessary support to the field operational team in order to accomplish programme objectives on time, within budget, and according to professional standards,

- monitor and evaluate programme activities to ensure that the agreed workplan and outcomes are realized,

Coordination of the programme

- work with an internal working team of specialists to implement the programme,

- coordinate with multi-sectoral and multi-level stakeholders, including central government agencies, local authorities, and grassroots communities, to realize the success of the programme,

Reporting and presentation of programme progress and outcomes

- act as focal point for all relevant information about the programme and its progress for  dissemination in the forms of presentations, concept papers, reports and press releases,

- prepare and submit regular progress reports on the programme to donors, partners, beneficiaries, and other stakeholders,

 

Qualifications and Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in social science or related fields (for Assistant Programme Manager);

- Minimum 2 years of experience in the field of social sciences or programme management,

- Thai national, female or male under the age of 32,

- Ability to communicate effectively in Thai and English, both orally and in writing,

- Ability to write good proposals and reports and manage budgets, 

- Competence in MS Office programmes, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint,

- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills and excellent team player, with a flexible and open-minded attitude,

- Strong logical thinking, common sense, and problem-solving skills,

- Ability to work within tight deadlines and under pressure, 

- Willingness to travel for field work on a regular basis

3. Programme Officer

 

Position Summary

Part of the core team of the MFLF responsible for outreaching the development approach of HM King Bhumibol and HRH the late Princess Mother of Thailand to solve the problem of poverty and lack livelihood opportunities for underprivileged communities, while maintaining a balance between humans and the environment. The Programme Officer works under the supervision of Programme Managers/Assistant Programme Managers to provide back-office support functions for several programmes from inception to completion. The programme management team provides full support to the field operational team in order to help ensure successful implementation on the ground. With experience, the Programme Officer will be able to grow into the role of Assistant Progamme Manager and eventually Programme Manager.    

 

Description of Responsibilities

- Assist the Programme Manager/Assistant Programme Manager with programme management responsibilities, including conducting research to support programme planning or feasibility studies,

- providing news updates on programme-related matters,

- participating in meetings as assigned and preparing meeting summaries and reports,

- providing logistical support to the programme- such as travel and accommodation arrangements, organizing purchases and delivery of goods, handling cash advance, 

- preparing programmes for study visits to the Foundation’s project sites,

- taking care of programme documentation and archiving,

- other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications and Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in social science or related fields, with preference for applicants with business related field,

- Preference for applicants with at least 1 year of work experience in the field of social sciences, or programme management,

- Thai national, female or male under the age of 25,

- Ability to communicate effectively in Thai and English, both orally and in writing,

- Competence in MS Office programmes, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint,

- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills and excellent team player, with a flexible and open-minded attitude,

- Strong logical thinking, common sense, and problem-solving skills,

- Ability to work within tight deadlines and under pressure, 

- Willingness to travel for field work on a regular basis.
