In Thailand, PCF is working with local partner organisations to provide support for girls and boys in rural/remote areas and emergencies contexts to improve access to quality education that is relevant to their language and culture.   

Short-term consultancy:  Training on Artificial Intelligence Tools in Project Cycle Management and Results-based Management | Chiang Mai, Thailand | 28 April – 30 April 2026 OR 5 May – 7 May 2026

1. Training Objective and Participants

PCF provides funding to local organisations and aims at strengthening their staff capacities and skills to achieve the programme outcomes. To support local partner organisations we would like to offer a training for project management staff, project coordinators and staff members working on artificial intelligence (AI) tools in project cycle management (PCM) / results-based management (RBM). The partner organisations’ staff have some knowledge and experience with AI tools through self-learning; however, further capacity strengthening is needed to apply AI safely, strategically, and effectively in project management.

The training shall enable participants to use AI safely and effectively across all phases of project cycle management by applying responsible AI practices, improving planning and implementation, analysing monitoring data, and producing clear, context-appropriate project documents and materials. 

The consultancy will be tailored to the specific needs and knowledge of PCF’s Thailand partner organisations and developed in close collaboration with PCF HQ and the Thailand Country Office. 

The participants will be selected from PCF’s partner organisations in Thailand, which are local NGOs. A total of 15 - 20 participants will attend the training. 

2. Tentative Agenda

The agenda will be finalised jointly with the consultant, based on a needs assessment. It is expected to cover the following:

• Theoretical foundations and hands-on practical exercises using accessible and relevant AI tools:
  • Understand how AI models work
  • Create effective prompts using structure and context
  • Apply ethical and safe AI practices 
• AI applications across each phase of the project cycle, with a special focus on monitoring and reporting: 
  • Create simple dashboards or graphs for monitoring and reporting
  • Interpret the data for program decisions
  • Communicate monitoring and project information clearly using AI 
  • Adapting content for different ages, levels, and learning contexts 

                                                                                                                                              Note: The consultant is expected to provide the detailed content and agenda with potential sub-topics in the submitted technical offer. 

In order to determine the current knowledge and exact needs of the participants, an assessment questionnaire shall be developed and circulated by the trainer upon provision of participants' contacts. The results will inform the detailed planning and agenda of the training. 

A follow-up exercise for the participants may be part of the training package (participants go back to their respective work and apply their learning). The exact needs will be assessed with the participants and format is to be identified and agreed with the trainer. 

3. Dates, Language and Place

• Dates: The assignment is scheduled to take place between 28-30 April OR 5-7 May 2026. The duration will not exceed three days (excluding arrival and departure).
• Language: The workshop will be delivered in Thai. Please note: not all participants speak Thai, applicants who have access to a Thai–English translator or can arrange translation support are encouraged to indicate this in their application.
• Location: Chiang Mai, Thailand.
• Logistics: Costs for transport, accommodation, and meals are covered by PCF.
