Location: Chiang Mai or Bangkok Thailand | Travel: Occasional travel within the Asia region, as required | Status:Full-time (Initial contract until December 2026, with possibility of one-year renewal) 

 

Are you detail-oriented, analytical and driven to ensure strong financial management?

CPI is seeking a Finance & Grants Manager to support the Research and Technical teams by managing the full grant lifecycle and ensuring accurate, timely, and donor-compliant financial processes. The role focuses on clear financial reporting, strong partner and donor engagement, and building effective financial systems with CPI and its sub-grantees. You will also act as the primary finance focal for HQ unrestricted funding, monitoring revenue and expenditure, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and contributing to strategic planning and digital transformation.

 

In this role, you will:

  • Support project finance and grants management across the full grant lifecycle, ensuring compliance with CPI policies and donor requirements.
  • Prepare and analyze project financial reports, including monthly Budget vs. Actual reports, to support effective financial monitoring and decision-making.
  • Monitor the financial performance and compliance of sub-grantees, providing guidance and capacity strengthening where needed.
  • Act as a key finance focal point for HQ unrestricted projects, coordinating with internal teams, auditors, and external partners as required.
  • Work closely with the Finance Director on budgeting, financial reporting, forecasting, and digital finance initiatives.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.  
  • ACCA, CPA or CIMA qualified is preferred
  • At least 5-10 years' experience in a related position with accounting and project financial management experience
  • Exposure to INGO work and knowledge of donor rules and regulations
  • Fluent in written and spoken English and knowledge of Thai language & context will be an advantage
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, as well as good word-processing and PowerPoint presentation skills
  • Knowledge and experience in the use of accounting software, mainly the SUN system
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience of working in a multicultural, low-resource setting
  • Ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to establish priorities in a time-sensitive environment and meet deadlines with strong attention to consistency, detail, and quality
