Youth Employability Advocacy and LS4S Coordination Consultant
Background
Youth with visual impairments and other disabilities face persistent barriers in accessing quality education, skills development, and decent employment opportunities. These challenges are compounded by limited employer awareness, inadequate inclusive training systems, and the lack of practical guidelines to support disability-inclusive workplaces.
The Youth Employability Program seeks to address these barriers through advocacy, stakeholder engagement, youth leadership development, and inclusive life-skills training, including the Life Skills for Success (LS4S) framework. Central to this effort is the meaningful participation of youth with visual impairments, collaboration with partners and networks, and engagement with employers and policymakers to promote systemic change.
