Contract: Initial six-month contract, with the possibility of extension

Paintbrush Foundation provides children and young people from the Khlong Toey community in Bangkok with access to free music, arts and educational opportunities. We work closely with children, families, teachers, community partners and donors to create safe spaces where young people can learn, develop their talents and build confidence in their future.
We are looking for a Fundraising Officer to help strengthen and diversify the foundation’s income.
During the initial six-month contract, the role will focus primarily on identifying and securing new funding opportunities. This will include researching prospective donors, developing fundraising proposals, approaching companies and foundations, and helping to build a sustainable fundraising pipeline.
At the beginning of the contract, the Fundraising Officer will spend time at the school and with the team to understand our programs, approach and values before representing the foundation to prospective funders.
At the end of the initial six-month contract, the foundation will review the position based on performance and available funding. The position may then be extended and developed into a longer-term Fundraising and Partnerships Officer position. This could include managing selected donor and sponsor relationships, coordinating donor reports and communications, and supporting funding renewals.
Research and identify suitable funding opportunities from companies, foundations, grant-makers and individual donors.
Prepare grant applications, tailored proposals, presentations and other fundraising materials.
Approach prospective donors and arrange introductory meetings when appropriate.
Follow up consistently with prospective donors and funding partners.
Maintain an organised and up-to-date record of prospective funders, communications, applications, deadlines and follow-up actions.
Provide short, regular updates on progress, challenges and next steps.
Represent the foundation professionally and communicate its work accurately, respectfully and positively.
The Fundraising Officer will work towards securing approximately 400,000 THB in new funding during the six-month contract. Funding secured will not be the only measure of performance, as some funding decisions may take longer than six months. The quality of applications, the value of funding opportunities developed, follow-up and overall quality of work will also be considered.
Experience in fundraising, grant writing, corporate partnerships or a closely related field.
Nonprofit or social-impact experience is preferred.
Strong written and spoken Thai and English.
Proactive and able to research opportunities independently and turn them into concrete actions.
Comfortable contacting new organisations and building relationships.
Existing contacts within Bangkok’s corporate, CSR or nonprofit sectors are an advantage.
Organised, reliable and able to manage several applications and deadlines.
Able to work independently and collaborate with a small team.
Commitment to the mission and values of the Paintbrush Foundation.
