About Destiny Rescue
Destiny Rescue is a global NGO that has supported the rescue of more than 24,000 individuals from sexual exploitation and human trafficking. Our Counter-OSEC Program works to detect, identify and rescue children subjected to online sexual exploitation, and to strengthen the ability of law enforcement and government partners to do the same.
In Thailand, this work is delivered in collaboration with the Scientia Program, co-founded by Destiny Rescue International. Scientia operates the VISTA Hub, Thailand's collaborative counter-OSEC victim identification center.
The program is restructuring and expanding. This is a newly created position in the Global Counter-OSEC Hub, and the post holder will work directly in the VISTA Hub.
About the Role
The Intelligence Analyst is a key member of the Hub's investigative team. The role has two main purposes:
- Victim identification: You will analyze videos, images and other digital indicators linked to online sexual exploitation of children (OSEC). Using open-source intelligence (OSINT) techniques, you will work out who and where the victims are so they can be rescued.
- Digital intelligence support: You will run digital investigations and produce intelligence for Destiny Rescue country programs, partner NGOs and law enforcement through the Intelligence Hub.
This role will directly contribute to bringing children to safety. The work involves exposure to sensitive and distressing material. Destiny Rescue gives structured wellbeing support to everyone in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify OSEC victims by analyzing images, videos and other digital indicators (geolocation, environmental, linguistic and other identifying details) to support rescue.
- Conduct digital and OSINT investigations into complex threats to children's safety, including research on persons of interest, online accounts, networks and platforms.
- Respond to intelligence and operational support requests from Destiny Rescue country teams, partner NGOs and law enforcement within agreed timeframes.
- Write clear, accurate and well-sourced intelligence reports, case summaries and briefings for operational and non-technical audiences.
- Keep case records accurate and secure, in line with data protection, evidence handling and confidentiality standards.
- Work closely with the Intelligence Manager, fellow analysts and partner agencies, and take part in case reviews and operational planning.
- Keep up to date with OSINT tools, platform changes and emerging OSEC trends, and share that knowledge with the team.
- Help build the capacity of partners through knowledge-sharing and training when needed.
- Follow Destiny Rescue's Child Protection Policy, security protocols and wellbeing practices at all times.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in any field.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Strong knowledge of OSINT tools, methods and tradecraft.
- High cultural awareness and the ability to work well across countries and cultures.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data and draw sound conclusions.
- A strong commitment to the protection and welfare of children.
- High integrity, discretion and the ability to handle confidential information.
- Emotional resilience and willingness to work with sensitive and distressing content, with access to provided support.
- Willingness to work within a Christian context and align with Destiny Rescue's mission and values.
- A completed National Criminal History Check, or willingness to obtain one.
Preferred
- A degree or background in a related field, such as Social Science, Information Technology or Cyber Security.
- Experience in intelligence analysis, digital investigations, law enforcement, or child protection or anti-trafficking work.
- Familiarity with image and video analysis, geolocation and social media investigation techniques.
- Relevant certifications or training, for example in OSINT, cyber investigation or intelligence analysis.
What We Offer
- Meaningful work that directly contributes to rescuing children from exploitation.
- A collaborative, mission-driven international team.
- Ongoing professional development in OSINT and investigative tradecraft.
- Structured wellbeing support, including regular check-ins and psychological support for staff exposed to sensitive material.
