Period of performance:                 Up to 40 days – 1 March – 31 September, 2016.

Background

Consultancy Roles and Responsibilities

Provide technical support to the assessment of Thailand’s malaria information system. This includes, but is not limited to:

Review of malaria program reviews and assessments, including any information on information system assessments, challenges related to malaria program reporting with the intent of identifying areas of the malaria health information system that require further in depth assessment

Development of assessment tools/guidance

Meet with malaria stakeholders to conduct assessment

Assessment report and recommendations that can feed into a two-year work plan

  Work will be conducted in close collaboration with an assessment team leader.

 

Skills and Experience:

In depth knowledge of health information systems- reporting, data sources, information flow.

Past experience conducting health information system assessments.

Ability to work closely with government ministries and stakeholders.

Knowledge of the public health sector in Thailand.

Malaria experience desirable.

Ability to speak Thai is desirable

Experience of working with USAID projects, is highly desirable. Exceptional communications and interpersonal skills and ability to work within a multi-cultural environment.

Fluent in English.
