About Soi Dog Foundation:
Soi Dog Foundation is the largest animal welfare organisation in Asia dedicated to helping stray dogs and cats. Soi Dog Foundation sterilises, vaccinates, administers medical treatment, shelters, promotes adoption of stray dogs and cats in Thailand, and runs education programmes on animal welfare. Soi Dog Foundation is also actively working to end South East Asia’s dog meat trade, and is expanding within South East Asia, having recently opened an operation in Vietnam.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title and Summary: The Bangkok Sterilization Project Program Manager is responsible for the planning, management, and coordination of Soi Dog Foundation’s dog sterilization project in Bangkok. The project manager will ensure the project goals are completed on time and within budget, that the project’s expectations are met and that all staff perform as expected.
The Bangkok mobile program is designed to reduce the incidence of rabies and establish a smaller, healthier, sustainable, rabies-free dog population in Bangkok by sterilizing and vaccinating more than 80% of Bangkok’s dogs. This is a new program for Soi Dog Foundation, which is expected to gradually increase in size to involve multiple mobile sterilization teams deploying to various locations simultaneously in Bangkok.
Key Responsibilities:
Accomplishes human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, scheduling, counselling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and reviewing job contributions. Enforces policies and procedures.
Accomplishes operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; prepares action plans, resolves problems, and is constantly striving to implement improvements.
Represents Soi Dog Foundation’s organizational interests in Bangkok.
Assures that project goals are met.
Is responsible for directly managing each of the mobile managers to ensure correct protocols are being adhered to.
Collaborates effectively and maintains relationships with pertinent government officials including the Thai Department of Livestock (DLD), Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA), and local khet (ward) officials.
Ensures mobile clinic standards are met. This includes, but is not limited to:
Monitoring the flow of patients at the mobile clinic
Ensuring proper sanitation of both clinic equipment and medical instruments
Assuring appropriate anesthesia and pain management protocols are followed
Responsible for ensuring vehicles are maintained correctly or similar
Monitoring surgical sterility
Implements, and monitors sterilization clinic protocols.
Keeps management apprised of any situation that may require major decisions. As well as asking management to make major decisions and/or following the decisions made by management.
Purchases and maintains project equipment.
Measures project performance using appropriate methods and techniques.
Successfully manages stakeholder relationships.
Creates and maintains comprehensive project documentation, checks and enters data in a spreadsheet, and writes monthly reports, particularly as required by Dogs Trust.

Skills and Qualifications:
Thai nationality with good command in written and verbal English skills.
Should have experience in working in a shelter.
Veterinary nursing skills and/or animal behaviour training is a plus.
Should have proven skills in personnel management and departmental leadership.
The ability to multi-task in a fast paced, challenging environment is crucial.
