JOB PURPOSE

●      Ensure PREVENTION, PROTECTION, PROSECUTION AND PARTNERSHIP within the mission of The A21 Campaign are the foundation on which the Aftercare program is maintained.

●      Manage A21 Child Advocacy Center Aftercare services according to the mission and purpose of A21 within the REACH, RESCUE AND RESTORE mandate.

●      Responsible for managing the aftercare of all cases coming through the Child Advocacy Center in Thailand

●      Liaising with Government institutions and Non-Government organizations to create a network of partners that will provide aftercare services for A21 cases.

●      Facilitate SAFE repatriations

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES/ KEY DUTIES

●      To facilitate and assist with the case management of all A21 cases at the Child Advocacy Center in Pattaya

●      To facilitate legal support for victims of trafficking and support law enforcement during the interview and prosecution procedures.

●      Represent A21 in Multidisciplinary Team Meetings and all key Government and Non-Government meetings and will be required to present the work of A21 with excellence.

●      Assist with the  case management process and the individual plan for all A21 identified victims of human trafficking together with A21 aftercare staff.

●      Oversee all survivors files with A21 aftercare staff including policies and procedures in consideration of Thailand Government procedures.

●      Facilitate counselling and trauma assistance to all victims of trafficking directly after rescue.

●      Assist in court processes (where needed) and the preparation of documents for all VOTs.  Assist the lawyers in legal matters during the prosecution process.

●      Assist with the preparation of all legal documentation during the repatriation process for victims of trafficking in Thailand and abroad.

●      Contact and establish a network of partnerships locally and abroad together with the A21 Senior Social Worker and utilize A21 contacts to provide aftercare options for survivors.

●      Network and partner with police, immigration and NGOs in the country and abroad to find the best possible solution for each victim.

●      Present and discuss A21 cases during multidisciplinary meetings in order to advocate for each survivor.

●      Attend monthly supervision as directed by the Aftercare Clinical Advisor.

●      Monitor survivors progress and have individual sessions with each survivor when appropriate.

●      Report maintenance issues to the Country Development Manager

●      Input all case data into a case management system accordingly

●      Complete Weekly Report and all A21 case documents for each case

●      Report Aftercare numbers and relevant detail to Country Development Manager and Aftercare manager.

●      Report and assist the Aftercare Manager in matters pertaining to staff and staff issues.

●      Roster weekly Aftercare team meetings

●      Perform all duties within the highest level of excellence and best practice ensuring total confidentiality at all times.

●      Read and sign the A21 Child Protection Policy

●      Report any concerns of malpractice by A21 staff or partner organisations to Clinical Advisor Aftercare and Country Development Manager.

PERSONAL SPECIFICATIONS -  Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills

ESSENTIAL:

●      Education Degree level - Social Work or Degree in Psychology

●      Good interpersonal skills

●      Experience working with trafficking victims and/or victims of abuse

●      Fluent in Thai

●      Good verbal and written skills

●      Excellent microsoft computer skills including excel

●      Demonstrates a high degree of integrity and confidentiality

●      Experience working with Government and Non-Government organisations

●      Crisis management skills

●      Current First aid Certificate

●      Working with Children Check or Police check

●      Willingness to be flexible with work hours including weekends at times of need.

 

DESIRABLE:

●      Current driver’s license with no pending issues.

●      Training and facilitation skills

●      Good command of English

●      Social worker license/child protection license
