BACKGROUND OF THE PROJECT

 

Doctors without Borders Thailand (DWBT) is a Thai company working to increase access to mental health in Thailand. DWBT is neutral, impartial and is solely medical in nature with no religious, political or human rights objectives.

 

DWBT is starting a project to primarily provide mental health services for victims of violence, including basic mental health and physiotherapy services and an appropriate system of referral where needed.  The project is expected to be based in Pattani. DWBT will work to strengthen the existing mental health system and to build local capacity through trainings and the provision of mental health services primarily focusing on women and children affected by the conflict.

 

DWBT is a non-political, non-religious medical organisation and does not discriminate based on religion, race, political affiliation or sex.

 

1. TERMS OF REFERENCES

 

Location: Southern Provinces

Contract period: Long term with three month probation period

1.1. Organogram

• Hierarchically under the supervision of Project Coordinator, and
• Functionally under the supervision of the Mental Health Supervisor.1.2. Justification of the post
•  

• To help identify and follow up on patients who need home visits for a variety of reasons and to help with health promotion.
• Assist the Mental Health Activity Manager as well as the field Mental Health team understanding the cultural background of patients.

1.3. Main objectives/responsibilities of the position:

• Contribute to the quality and proper performance of psychosocial and medical activities within the DWBT  project.2. RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
•  

 

• Sensitize families/ the community about Doctors Without Borders Thailand
• Perform Psycho-education in the community and patients’ families
• Follow up on patients´ when needed/ wanted by making the link with family, community and    social services
• Conduct group psycho-education sessions in the community
• Follow DWBT’s procedures and guidelines
• Organise together with DWBT’s team a referral system for patients to MHPS and medical services
• Collect data on the activities and submit it to the MHS (Mental Health Supervisor)
• Participate in DWBT team meetings
• Assist the MHS to organise and plan daily activities.

3. REQUIREMENTS

 

Education:       Diploma in social work

 

Languages:   Fluency in Thai and Melayu written and spoken, English would be an added value

 

Experience:      Essential experience in counselling

                   Comprehensive knowledge of the affected population

                   Interest in helping vulnerable people

                   Working experience in leading cultural, educational sessions for people in distress

 

Skills:             Proven communication and social skills (attentive listening, opened attitude, empathy,  

                           respect, sensitivity, patience)

                   Organisation and team work skills

                   Initiative and creativity

                   Adjustment to changes capacity           

                   Able to work in a multi-disciplinary team

                   Computer literacy (Word, Excel, Internet)

 

Other:                Dynamic, creative, flexible, readiness to travel

องค์กรแพทย์ไร้พรมแดนประเทศไทย (Doctors without Bordersหรือ DWBT) เป็น บริษัทในประเทศไทยที่ดำเนินงานด้านการเข้าถึงสุขภาพจิตในประเทศไทย โดยที่องค์กรแพทย์ไร้พรมแดนทำหน้าที่เป็นกลางและมีลักษณะเฉพาะคือด้านการแพทย์โดยไม่มีวัตถุประสงค์ทางศาสนา การเมืองหรือด้านสิทธิมนุษยชน

          องค์กรแพทย์ไร้พรมแดน มีโครงการเพื่อให้บริการด้านสุขภาพจิตแก่ผู้ที่ตกเป็นเหยื่อของความรุนแรงรวมถึงปัญหาสุขภาพจิตขั้นพื้นฐาน มีบริการกายภาพบำบัด และระบบการส่งต่อ ซึ่งโครงการนี้คาดว่าจะตั้งอยู่ในจังหวัดปัตตานี โดยลักษณะการทำงานเพื่อเสริมสร้างระบบสุขภาพจิตที่มีอยู่และเพื่อสร้างความสามารถของคนในพื้นที่ผ่านการฝึกอบรมและให้บริการด้านสุขภาพจิต โดยมุ่งเน้นที่ผู้หญิงและเด็กที่ได้รับผลกระทบจากความขัดแย้ง

 

           องค์กรแพทย์ไร้พรมแดนเป็นองค์กรนอกภาครัฐ ไม่ใช่องค์กรแพทย์ด้านศาสนาและเป็นองค์กรที่ไม่เลือกปฏิบัติตามศาสนา เชื้อชาติ ไม่เกี่ยวข้องกับทางการเมืองหรือเพศสภาพ

 1. ขอบเขตของงาน สถานที่: จังหวัดในภาคใต้ ระยะเวลาสัญญา: ระยะยาวกับระยะเวลาการทดลองงาน 3 เดือน 1.1 ลำดับแผนการทำงาน

• ทำงานภายใต้ผู้ประสานงานโครงการ
• ทำงานภายใต้การดูแลของหัวหน้าที่ปรึกษาด้านสุขภาพจิต

 

1.2. Justification of the post

• ช่วยในการระบุและติดตามผู้ป่วยที่ต้องเข้ารับการตรวจที่บ้านด้วยเหตุผลหลายประการและเพื่อช่วยในการส่งเสริมสุขภาพ

 

• ช่วยผู้จัดการกิจกรรมสุขภาพจิตรวมทั้งทีมสุขภาพจิตภาคสนามให้เข้าใจถึงภูมิหลังทางวัฒนธรรมของผู้ป่วย

 1.3 วัตถุประสงค์หลัก / ความรับผิดชอบของงาน:

• ให้ความสำคัญกับคุณภาพและประสิทธิภาพที่เหมาะสมของกิจกรรมทั้งในด้านจิตสังคมและการแพทย์ภายในโครงการขององค์กรแพทย์ไร้พรมแดน

 2. ความรับผิดชอบและภารกิจที่ได้รับ

• การทำงานเหมือนครอบครัวกับแพทย์ไร้พรมแดนประเทศไทย
• ทำ Psycho-education ในชุมชนและครอบครัวของผู้ป่วย
• ติดตามความต้องการของผู้ป่วยเมื่อจำเป็น / โดยทำหน้าที่เชื่อมโยงกับครอบครัว ชุมชนและบริการทางสังคม
• ดำเนินงานกลุ่มจิตเวชศึกษาในชุมชน
• ปฏิบัติตามขั้นตอนและแนวทางของหมอไร้พรมแดน
• จัดระเบียบร่วมกับทีมของหมอไร้พรมแดนเพื่อแนะนำผู้ป่วยไปยังที่หัวหน้าที่ปรึกษาด้านจิตวิทยาและบริการทางการแพทย์
• รวบรวมข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับกิจกรรมต่างๆและส่งไปยังหัวหน้าที่ปรึกษาด้านจิตวิทยา
• เข้าร่วมการประชุมทีมกับหมอไร้พรมแดน
• ช่วยหัวหน้าที่ปรึกษาด้านจิตวิทยาในการจัดระเบียบและวางแผนกิจกรรมประจำวัน

 3. คุณสมบัติผู้สมัคร การศึกษา: ประกาศนียบัตรทางสังคมสงเคราะห์ภาษา:     ใช้ภาษาไทยและภาษามลายูได้ดี ใช้ภาษาอังกฤษได้จะพิจารณาเป็นพิเศษ ประสบการณ์:

• มีประสบการณ์ด้านให้คำปรึกษา
• มีความรู้ที่ครอบคลุมของผู้ที่ได้รับผลกระทบ
• มีความสนใจในการช่วยเหลือผู้อื่น
• มีประสบการณ์การทำงานในด้านวัฒนธรรมหรือให้ความรู้คำแนะนำสำหรับผู้ที่มีภาวะเครียด

 ทักษะ:    

• สามารถสื่อสารที่ได้ดีและมีทักษะทางสังคม (เช่น มีทักษะการฟังที่ดี มีทัศนคติที่ดี เอาใจเขามาใส่ใจเรา การให้เกียรติ การอดทน)
• มีทักษะการทำงานแบบองค์กรและการทำงานเป็นทีม
• ความคิดริเริ่มและสร้างสรรค์

• มีความสามารถในการปรับตัวได้ดี

 

• สามารถทำงานร่วมกับสหวิชาชีพอื่นได้
• มีความรู้และทักษะการใช้คอมพิวเตอร์ (Word, Excel, Internet)
