Plan International is one of the world’s longest-operating aid and development organisations, with a special focus on helping more than 80 million marginalised children in 50 developing countries to access their rights to health, education, livelihoods, disaster risk management and protection.

Plan International has worked in Thailand since 1981. We are independent, with no religious, political or governmental affiliations. In addition to our long-term development work with communities, Plan has extensive experience responding to natural disasters and other emergencies.

 

 

 

 

URGENTLY REQUIRED

Grants Officer

Location: Bangkok, Thailand

To support the work of Plan Thailand’s Resource Mobilization (RM) department. The position works closely with the RM, finance, and program departments to assist the RM department in meeting its objectives.

Provide administrative supports to the RM department which are aligned with the related Plan’s policy/procedure/standard. This may include preparation of documents, record keeping of grants data, monitoring of grants spending, and follow up of work with the program team. The Grants Officer will also help to manage and develop a portfolio of corporate partners in order to deliver income, new supporters/sponsors and increased awareness of Plan’s brand to agreed targets set out in the organization’s business plan.

Responsibilities:

Planning

Assist the Resource Mobilization Manager in grants management plan

 

Management/Operation

Work with Resource Mobilization, Finance, and Program departments to ensure an accurate, timely, efficient, and transparent process for the entire grant life cycle, from proposal to closure.

Research companies and foundations to identify priority targets based on CSR priorities and alignment with Plan’s program.

Update grants information on Grants Pipeline Monitoring Tool (GPMT), Unconfirmed Grants Sheet, Output Code Process Sheet, Grants Closure Checklist and ensure the data are accurate and consistent across all documents in grants portfolio

Review grants project spending and work with the Program Department, and Finance Department to optimize the timely spending of grants according to the operational plan.

Assist in acquiring of information or documents from the program team necessary for development of proposals and reports.

Assist in preparation of Grants Agreement Document (GAD)/addendum for approved funding and obtain appropriate signatures

Work with the Resource Mobilization team to organise and co-ordinate events/field visits for corporate and other key Plan supporters.

Represent Plan at external events and meetings as required and subject to availability if outside normal working hours.

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor degree in related fields.

Minimum Experience of 2-3 years of working in Resources mobilization or other related field and administration filed

Proposal writing skills and negotiation skills

Fluency in English and Computer literacy

Experience in any International NGO is an advantage

 

Plan has a Child Protection Policy.  Applicants should be willing to allow Plan to conduct a police check if considered for the position
