Mine Action and Disarmament's vision is a world where people and communities are safe, resilient and protected before, during and after armed conflict. Together with national authorities and other stakeholders, we are working to resolve problems faced by local communities caused by landmines and other explosive remnants of war. We are currently looking for Finance Officer (FO) to be based in Bangkok, Thailand.
Position: Finance Officer (FO) 1 position
Department / Project / Country: Department of Mine Action and Disarmament (DMAD) / Thailand to cover for Palau and Solomon Islands
Intermediate Superior / Line Manager: NPA Thailand Finance Manager
Starting Date: As soon as possible
Based in Bangkok, the Finance Officer is responsible for the financial accounting and reporting for projects in Palau and Solomon Islands. The position reports to the Country Director of Thailand Programme under supervision of the NPA Thailand Finance Manager.
All responsibilities and reporting have to be carried out in accordance with the strategic objectives of NPA, the Regulation for Delegation of Authorisation and other relevant procedures and guidelines in the Quality Management System, as well as approved local guidelines, regulations and issued memos, and donor rules and regulations.
The position is based in Bangkok, Thailand, with travel to Palau and Solomon Islands and regional countries as required.
The employee is to abide by the policies and personal codes of conduct set by the Norwegian People’s Aid (NPA) and represent the organisation in a loyal and responsible manner.
