For over 50 years, WWF has been protecting the future of nature. As the world’s leading conservation organization, WWF works across 100 countries and is supported by close to 5 million members globally. WWF’s unique way of working combines global reach with a foundation in science, involves action at all levels locally to globally, and ensures the delivery of innovative solutions that meet the needs of both people and nature. WWF has been working in Thailand since 1983 and established a country office in 1995. WWF Thailand has been working on forest conservation for more than a decade, with activities in support of sustainable rubber production, deforestation monitoring and response, and agroforestry. WWF Thailand seeks to enhance its role in landscape-scale forest restoration and connectivity, in recognition of Thailand’s goal of increasing forest cover to 40%, to improve landscape permeability for wide-ranging species, and to respond to carbon sequestration needs. The incumbent in this position will lead our on-going activities in the sustainable rubber sector, design and implement on-the-ground forest restoration projects, and identify opportunities for expanded roles for WWF Thailand in the restoration of forest ecosystems.
