Activity:

The Enhancing Equality in Energy for Southeast Asia activity (“Activity”) will identify challenges for gender equality in the energy sector in Southeast Asia and implement solutions to overcome them over the period August 2020 to August 2023.  As a regional Activity, implementation will occur in Burma, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam, managed from a central office in Bangkok, Thailand. This is a is full-time position based in CORE’s office in Bangkok, Thailand.  

 

Position Description:

CORE International is seeking a qualified Project Coordinator (“Coordinator”) to support this three-year Activity. The Coordinator will support the Chief of Party (COP) to create comprehensive action plans concerning resources, budgets, and the schedule of multiple, simultaneous activities.  The Coordinator must be results oriented, with demonstrated ability to engage in collaborative problem-solving. Coordinator must have excellent writing, listening, communication and interpersonal skills. Strong presentation skills are also required. Coordinator must have the ability to work collaboratively across offices and departments and with Senior Leadership to advance a shared mission.

The Coordinator will be based in Bangkok, Thailand for the duration of the Activity (August 2020-August 2023).

 

Responsibilities and Reporting Requirements:

  • Report directly to the Chief of Party (COP) for the Activity in the Bangkok Office.
  • Coordinate all work and deliverables with the USAID Activity Officers through the COP.   
  • Participate in Activity design and implementation meetings and propose improvements as necessary.
  • With an eye on Activity goals, coordinate project schedules and deliverables of all team members to ensure workflow stays on track.
  • Manage Activity-related paperwork and ensure all necessary materials and documentations are current, properly filed, are easily retrievable, stored, and archived.
  • Support the COP in the preparation of Activity memorandum, meeting minutes, team member and client coordination meetings and briefings, and Activity protocols.
  • Maintain the Activity’s databases of international and regional travel; approval logs; and master schedules of activities/events, deliverables, and milestones.
  • Support COP and other field office personnel and visiting short term experts with any surge requirements and support in administrative, management, procurement, travel, budgeting and documentation support.

 

Qualifications, Education, Experience, and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of experience or Master’s degree with 3 years of experience in Activity management and administrative support.
  • Demonstrated strong organizational and multi-tasking skills and experience.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving abilities.
  • Attention to detail even under pressure.
  • Time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Hands on experience in bookkeeping, reporting, and budgeting.
  • Experience with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other software programs.
  • Relationships and experience working with partner governments, donors, and/or the private sector in Southeast Asia.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English.
