RECOFTC is inviting candidates to apply for the position of Human Resources Officer. The successful applicant will be based in Bangkok, Thailand. The contract duration is for 24 months with a possibility of extension subject to funding and satisfactory performance. The position is for Thai nationals only.

 

Specific tasks and duties

The Human Resources Officer will be a member of the Corporate Services Unit and work under the supervision of the Human Resources Manager. The Human Resources Officer facilitates recruitment and selection, coordinates performance management and supports other human resources initiatives and activities.

Specific tasks and duties include:

  • Working with the Human Resources Manager to prepare quarterly and annual recruitment forecasts, anticipating new projects in the pipeline
  • Facilitate the recruitment process; vacancy announcement, screening and assessment; formal interview set up; and recruitment report completion
  • Work with hiring managers to identify selection criteria and interview questions
  • Liaise with hiring managers, selection committee members and applicants to complete the recruitment process within agreed timelines
  • Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and sensitive matters to the Human Resources Manager
  • Coordinate employee performance management processes
  • Administer the internship program
  • Work with the social event committee to organize staff and social activities to promote a positive culture and synergy
  • Maintain the human resource information system and employee database, and periodically review the accuracy of staff information
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, and employment laws
  • Performs other duties as assigned  by the Human Resources Manager

 

 

Required qualifications and experience

Essential

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, organizational development, industrial psychology or related field
  • Minimum of five years experience in human resources management
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of human resources management, especially in non-profit organizations
  • Knowledge of human resources systems and databases
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations in Thailand and the Asia Pacific region
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • People oriented and results driven
  • Good written and spoken English and Thai
  • Proficient in using MS Office suite
  • Thai nationals only

 

Desirable

  • Confident and mature personality with a positive attitude
  • Outgoing and service-minded
  • Experience working in a multicultural environment
