Who we are
Seven Clean Seas builds holistic Ocean Impact Projects and empowers communities to turn the tide on plastic pollution. We deliver both environmental and social impact by taking a holistic approach to building up waste management infrastructure in high biodiversity and polluted coastal and riverine areas and hiring our crew from the local communities where we operate.

Whom we are looking for
Due to our growing success we are now looking to establish our first Ocean Impact Project in Bangkok, Thailand, and are therefore looking for a highly motivated Site Manager with a passion for the Ocean to join our team! The Site Manager will play a central role for our strategy and presence in Thailand and it is an exciting opportunity to have a decisive impact on the business from day 1.
As Site Manager in Bangkok you will be situated in Bangkok but will work closely with the Global Projects Manager and wider Projects team to build up our staff and processes at our project site, as well as managing daily operations and stakeholder engagements.
Key responsibilities:
● Take a leading role in building up our staff, project processes and stakeholder relations for our upcoming project in Bangkok
● Proactively manage, evaluate and strengthen the site operations and activities on a daily basis, communicate with SCS team on progress and financial needs, as well as identify project critical issues and recommend and implement necessary solutions where needed
● Supervise staff and ensure that plastic collection activities run efficiently, within Seven Clean Seas policies and meet the requirements and criteria of the Plastic Credit certification body and Seven Clean Seas standards
● Developing and maintain relations and partnerships with key SCS and project site stakeholders (Public, private and community based)
● Represent SCS at the project site and when attending relevant events
Qualifications: Relevant experience:
● Demonstrable experience within operations management, building and managing a team and establishing strong relationships with key stakeholders
● Holds at least a Bachelor’s Degree or similar in a relevant field to that of managing operations and people
● 3+ years of experience in a similar role / with operations management
● Preferably has experience working within the area of plastic waste pollution and management
Personal qualifications
● Dynamic, friendly and professional with strong communication and teamwork skills
● Ability to work independently and thrives in a fast paced environment with a high degree of autonomy
● Pro-active with good problem solving skills
● Impact driven with a can-do, hands-on attitude
● Spoken and written English at business professional level
