Objective of the internship

To contribute to the effective rollout of stories and related content for the Asia region along with providing support in social media management and other digital marketing tools and techniques.

 

Position in the organisation

The Regional Communications Intern reports to and receives technical guidance from the Regional Communications Adviser Asia with whom he/she/they will be working closely together.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

1.Support with content creation in line with the TdH NL’s Ethical Content Policy guidelines

• Write at least 10 human-interest stories following the organisation’s Ethical Content Policy(ECP) and brand guidelines.
• Develop at least 5 video stories following the organisation’s ECP guidelines and brand guidelines. 
• Support with the digital content strategy and work on regular content creation for TdH NL’s Meta and LinkedIn channels in Asia following the ECP and brand guidelines.
• Work on SEO-optimised weekly content and update relevant content from Asia for the organisation’s official website.
• Support with content creation for internal communications in line with the ECP and brand guidelines 
• Support with the roll-out of other external communications in line with ECP and brand guidelines

2. Support with social media management and other industry-standard digital marketing tools and techniques

• Manage Meta and LinkedIn TdH NL Asia channels including monitoring and evaluation of content insights along with weekly reporting of the same
• Support with digital marketing tools such as Google Business Profile, Google Ads and other relevant industry-standard tools and techniques to amplify the visibility of the organisation.

 

Knowledge and experience

• Pursuing a degree or other form of higher education in media, communications or related fields. 
• Pursuing academic research/practical assignments as part of the educational curriculum
• Basic understanding, keen interest and passion for work on child protection issues specifically in the Asia region

Competencies

• Excellent storytelling skills with the added skill of working on human-interest stories.
• Excellent visual and written communication skills in English with skills in Adobe Creative Suite and related software for content creation in the form of films (and reels), infographics, motion graphics, stories, articles and blogs. 
• Good knowledge and preferred certification in SEO-optimised content creation, social media management, google ads and other industry-standard digital marketing tools and techniques.
• Thorough and precise working style, with strong attention to detail.
• Dynamic, self-motivated and self-starting personality who takes initiative.
• Social skills to work on their own within a team.
• Ability to plan and organise well, setting goals and achieving results in line with the goals set.
• Ability to respond flexibly to changing priorities.
• Special preference to Thai national candidates fluent in Thai language - reading, writing, and speaking
