Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive grant proposals tailored to the specific requirements of each funding opportunity, aimed at securing funding for biodiversity conservation projects in Thailand. This involves reviewing scientific research to identify and document critical conservation needs, particularly for vulnerable and endangered species within WWF Thailand priority landscapes.
  • Identify and research potential grant opportunities from international public sector, non-governmental, and private funding sources.
  • Collaborate with WWF Thailand conservation teams to gather data, assess project feasibility, and articulate the significance of proposed initiatives.
  •  Prepare detailed, persuasive proposals that align with funding agency priorities and demonstrate their potential impact on biodiversity and habitat restoration.
  • Ensure successful acquisition of grants by meeting submission deadlines, adhering to funding guidelines, and effectively communicating the organization's mission and goals to potential funders.
  • Develop donor-required monitoring and evaluation frameworks to assess the effectiveness of conservation projects.
  • Prepare detailed budgets and financial plans to support grant proposals. Maintain accurate records of all grant applications, submissions, and follow-up activities. Provide regular updates and reports to the WWF Thailand Conservation Director and Communications Lead on the status of grant applications and funded projects.

 

Qualifications:

  •  Exceptional grant writing and proposal development skills: A proven track record of securing significant funding from major donors (USAID, SIDA, AFD, GEF, Pew,  etc.) through well-crafted grant proposals. Experience in developing compelling, evidence-based proposals that align with the priorities of funding agencies and clearly communicate the potential impact of conservation initiatives.
  • Ability to translate articulate complex scientific concepts and conservation strategies clearly and persuasively to funders, policymakers, and the general public.
  • Proficiency in development of theories  of change and logical frameworks, budgets, and comprehensive monitoring and evaluation frameworks.
  • Degree in conservation biology, ecology, environmental science, or a related field strongly desired.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English required.
  • Experience in Southeast Asia strongly desired.
