POSITION TITLE: Business Development Specialist (Repost)
Location: Khon Kaen Province
PROJECT: USDA Thailand Regional Agriculture Innovation Network (RAIN)
Reports to: Technical Director
Winrock International (Winrock) is a non-profit organization that works around the world to increase economic opportunity, sustain natural resources, and protect the environment. The USDA Thailand Regional Agriculture Innovation Network (RAIN) is a five-year project, implementing by Winrock International, starting from 2022 to 2027 aims to promote production, trade and increase climate resilient in six agricultural value chain crops in Thailand namely: rice, cassava, coconut, durian, mangosteen, and longan. The project will be identifying climate-smart agricultural practices and technologies and will select and promote up to 30 technologies and services in the value chains focusing in 11 provinces in Thailand (Chaiyaphum, Chanthaburi, Chumphon, Chaing Rai, Chaing Mai, Khon Kaen, Nakhon Ratchasima, Nakhon Sri Thammarat, Lampoon, Ratchaburi and Samut Songkram). Project can provide support on conducting studies, grant for developer, capacity building program as well as financial mechanism to promote the adoption.
POSITION SUMMARY
RAIN is seeking a professional with experience in business development, coordination with financial institutions, facilitating financial support to producers or value chain actors in accessing technologies. The goal for this role is to lead technology adoption through financial support and scaling it up into a functioning business for existing actors in the value chain. The responsibility will be to provide expertise in business development, value chain finance to the Technical Team in developing business model of selected technologies and services.
