Position: MEAL Manager (The Monitoring Evaluation Accountability and Learning Manager)

Handicap International that runs its program under the operating name Humanity & Inclusion (HI) seeks for a MEAL Manager for Thailand site. Based office is in Mae Sot with regular travel to work in camps.

Project History
In Thailand, Handicap International, now operating under the name of Humanity & Inclusion (HI) started working in 1984 and first focused its actions on the delivery of mobility and assistive devices to Burmese landmine/ERW victims as a response to the influx from Myanmar. HI currently implements activities for Burmese refugees along the Thailand/Myanmar border under three thematic areas: Rehabilitation and Disability and Social Inclusion (DSI) including inclusive early child development (Growing Together), and Mine Risk Education (MRE). As from 2016, Thailand projects are framed in the Myanmar and Thailand Regional program. Thailand mission is supported by the Regional team in Yangon for all issues related to logistic, administration, finance and accountancy as well as by the head office in France.

HI carries out activities in Thailand around 3 pillars:
1/ Armed Violence Reduction (AVR) including Mine Risk Education,
2/ Inclusion with Disability Social Inclusion (DSI) and inclusive Early Child Development,
3/ Health and Rehabilitation with project covering physical rehabilitation.
Working environment
The Monitoring Evaluation Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Manager is based in Mae Sot office under the supervision of the Country Manager.
His/her mission is to implement and manage the MEAL framework of the HI program in Thailand, and to support the project teams to monitor the MEAL framework. S/he guarantees compliance with Humanity & Inclusion and donors’ guidelines on MEAL aspects.
The MEAL Manager works in close collaboration with all of the projects’ teams in Thailand, but also with the Program Development and Quality unit in Yangon. Frequent travel in the different areas of work (mainly refugee camps along the Thai - Myanmar border) have to be foreseen.
The MEAL Manager directly supervises.

Qualifications required:
Education: Graduation in economics, development, social sciences or other relevant fields linked with the expectations of the position
Experiences:
Technical Skills & Cross Cutting Skills:
Language skills: Fluent English writing and speaking is mandatory
Behavioral Skills: Ability to work within a multi-cultural team, Diplomacy, Willingness to travel, Flexibility
Sense of humour.
Job Conditions: Local contract
Remuneration: Starting from 37,146Baht depending on the experience of the candidate. Attractive package with possibility of transportation, accommodation allowance.
