Thailand Communications Coordinator

Love Frankie is a Bangkok-based social change research and communications agency that specializes in supporting public and private sector organizations to create meaningful social impact. We design social and behaviour change initiatives across a broad range of issues including intolerance and hate speech, digital literacy, migration, human trafficking, gender, LGBT rights, environmental & biodiveristy  protection and access to justice. Our team of highly-skilled and passionate change-makers manages a range of high profile regional and national programs across the Asia-Pacific region.

We are currently recruiting for the position of a Thailand Communications Coordinator to help coordinate communications and workshop activities alongside partner organizations and universities.

Our ideal candidate will inform the design of workshops, will coordinate with CSO partners and universities to identify the support needed, will manage logistics, and lead local partnerships. They will be an excellent multi-tasker working across a variety of project components at any given time. They will be extremely organized and able to independently manage their own time, workflow and scheduling in order to meet deadlines, while building and maintaining strong relationships with CSO/university partners, as well as students.

The Thailand Communications Coordinator will have support and guidance from the Senior Program Manager based in Bangkok, Thailand. Interested candidates must be able to commit to full-time work starting in January 2020, with the possibility of some weekends and evenings, depending on the timing of key events.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and lead the design of key events (e.g. workshops, informational meetings and events) including facilitator and participant engagement, agenda development, invitations, material production, venue set up.
  • Work with design and creative department managing through creative briefs for the development of program assets
  • Oversee digital campaign development and production with program partners including CSO’s and provide support as needed
  • Manage and nurture relationships with program partners including CSO’s, universities, industry experts and influencers
  • Ensure positive collaboration between program partners including CSO’s, universities and industry experts by identifying and cultivating unique opportunities for cross-learning
  • Manage project budgets, payments, expenses
  • Ensure all project documentation is updated at all times including project timelines, WIPs and project files
  • Provide translation for all key materials in Thai/English (invitations, presentation decks, digital content etc.) as needed

 

 

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in media and communications and/or related fields
  • Demonstrated experience and in-depth knowledge managing local/national campaign programs, including managing budgets
  • Demonstrated experience organizing events
  • Fluent in English and Thai language
  • Acute attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills; ability to communicate complex sensitive social ideas to engage with a wide range of audiences and effectively report to the Senior Program Manager and partners
  • High levels of self-motivation and self-management; ability to plan and conduct work with minimal supervision
  • Prior experience working directly with young people (18-30 years old) is a strong advantage
  • Knowledge of digital marketing strategy is desirable
  • Experience with digital campaign production is desirable
  • Experience, knowledge and passion in areas of social change, diversity, digital security, tolerance, and social inclusion is desirable
