Job Title

Project Manager – SRHR

Location

Mae Sot, Thailand

Travel Requirements

Domestic and Mae Sot

Contract Length

One year and possibility of extension depends on performance and funding availability

SRHR Project Coordinator (Thailand), SRHR Project Coordinator (Myanmar),

HER Project Coordinator,

Salary range

30,000 – 35,000 THB.

Responsibilities

Job Specific

 

Role 1: Project management (30 %)

  • Review workplan together with partners and develop overall project work plan as well as monthly work plans for project implementation

  • Provide and facilitate technical support to partners in all areas of the project

  • Serve as focal person to donor and all project partners’ project managers to ensuring an arm’s length relationship in maintained

  • Collaborate to influence with Thai, Karen and Burmese authorities to promote the support and implementation of an effective SRHR policy including CSE curriculum and RH services

  • Lead all project related activity administrative work

  • Provide strategic direction to all project staff and partner staff

  • Oversee project budget management with Project Coordinators and Finance Manager

 

Role 2: Staff supervision (30 %)

  • Participate in the recruitment of new staff and volunteers

  • Conduct training/ mentoring/ coaching for project staff and volunteers

  • Evaluate team performance through individual staff performance appraisals

 

Role 3: Monitoring and Evaluation, Reporting (20 %)

  • Lead regular monitoring visits to project sites to monitor progress of implementation

  • Prepare and submit donor narrative reports on the agreed timeline.

  • Identify a post-project program which can continue the aims of this CSE to the target population.

 

Role 4: Coordination and external relation (20 %)

  • Represent SNF at relevant coordination meeting and at the project’s steering group, composed of key local stakeholder and project partners

  • Develop and strengthen relations with all implementation partners, local CSOs, local communities, INGOs to maximize the long-term benefit to the objectives of the project

  • Conduct regular coordination and collaboration meetings with project partners and facilitate and implement organizational development plans with implementation partners.

  • Liaise with local state government and other stakeholders, including schools, local leaders, and partners to ensure synergies and consistency in our programming approaches.

 

 

General

  • Creating and maintaining an environment which prevents and responds to SEA

  • Other adhoc duties as needed.

  • Degree in public health

 

Work Experience

  • At least 3 years’ experience in public health

 

 

Skills/Knowledge/Aptitude

  • Strong organizational skills, good at multi-tasking, flexible. Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing

  • Basic computer literacy such as knowledge in the use of Word, Excel and PowerPoint

 

Language(s)

  • Burmese Karen and English fluent

Thai are an advantage

 

Motivation

  • Special interest in improving the health services in the camps

  • Self-motivated, and a self starter but able to work as part of a team

  • Demonstrated resourcefulness

  • Effective time management

Knows when to take action and when to refer
