How can you make a difference?
UNICEF Thailand Country Office (TCO) is seeking an individual National consultant to assist the office to roll out the Knowledge Management (KM) framework and action plan that will support TCO to be become a knowledge hub for issues impacting child well-being in Thailand. Under the supervision of the Planning, Monitoring and Reporting Specialist, the KM consultant will support TCO to develop a well-maintained knowledge management system that gathers, extracts, packages, maintains, distributes and continually updates evidence, data and knowledge for internal and external audiences, with the goal of establishing and positioning UNICEF Thailand as a knowledge center on children and issues affecting them, to inform UNICEF’s strategic policy/advocacy and resource mobilization objectives and to develop a culture of learning and information exchange; continuously identify and promote opportunities for innovation withing the office across the Country Programme priorities and document and disseminate best practices and lessons learned.
Work Assignment:
a. Support in rolling out of the KM framework and implementation of the associated action plan.
b. Documentation of best practices and lessons learned.
c. Identifying innovations and gaps.
d. Management of Knowledge Management tools and platforms.
Work Schedule and Deliverables: At the end of each month, the consultant will prepare a monthly progress report, highlighting main tasks undertaken/completed, which will be endorsed by the section head for monthly payments
Duration of Contract: September 2022 – 31 August 2023 (11.5 months)
Official Travel: Travel is not anticipated in this assignment. However, some field travel may be required based on the need of KM (e.g., documentation from field etc.) and upon the Supervisor’s approval, travel cost will be provided by the office as per the organization’s policy.
