DOCTORS WITHOUT BORDERS THAILAND (DWBT)
Background
Doctors without Borders Thailand (DWBT) is a Thai company working to increase access to medical and mental health services in Thailand. DWBT is neutral, impartial, and solely medical in nature with no religious, political, or human rights objectives. DWBT has started a project to primarily provide mental health services for those affected by the unrest including basic mental health and an appropriate system of referral where needed. The project is based in Pattani.
Main Purpose
Planning, coordinating, and monitoring all logistics-related activities in the project according to DWBT protocols and standards in order to ensure the optimal running of the project.
Main responsibilities
- Assisting the Deputy Field Coordinator or Logistics Coordinator in the definition and follow-up of logistics activities in the project in conjunction with other project managers in order to identify and give a response to the needs of the targeted population
- Ensuring and monitoring the implementation of logistics/technical activities in the project including the following:
- Logistics: (transport of goods and staff, communications, vehicles, equipment/installation and infrastructures, and maintenance of functional office spaces.
- Supply: implementation and maintenance of an appropriate supply chain for the project.
- Implement administrative-related linked to logistics (orders, insurance, vehicle contracts, etc.).
- Participating in the planning and implementation of logistics staff management in the project in order to ensure both the sizing and the amount of knowledge required to correctly perform all logistics activities.
- Defining and monitoring technical aspects of the project risk reduction policy, transport, communication, protection, identification, and preparation of the technical aspects of the project security policy and guidelines, performing day-to-day monitoring of the application of security rules and reporting to the Deputy Field Coordinator any problem that may arise.

Education

Experience
|
- Essential at least two years of working experience in logistics-related activities.
- Desirable previous experiences with INGOs
|

Languages
|
- Essential speaking and writing English and Thai.
- Melayu language is a strong asset.

- Essential computer literacy (word, excel, internet)

Salary: 53,137 THB

Housing allowance (for the person who is from outside the Deep South)

One-year fixed term contract with the possibility of renewable, with 3 month-probation periods.
