Job Vacancy Announcement – Data Entry Assistant

 

Work location: Mae Sot, Tak province.

Background:

Dreamlopments (DLP) is a non-profit development organization, registered in Thailand both as a Social Enterprise (2015) and a Foundation (2019), and working on aid and development for underserved communities. In July 2017, Dreamlopments launched in Tak province the Migrant Fund (M-FUND), a low-cost not-for-profit health access scheme for migrants.

We are looking for a Data Entry Assistant, to join the M-FUND team, based in Mae Sot.

 

Job Overview:

The Data Entry Assistant will assist to enter detailed data related to M-FUND member medical events, into M-FUND digital platform. He/she will work closely with and under the M-FUND Medical Officer and under the Project Manager. Entering data into a health information system will be the main task for this position. Detail orientation is a core function of the job.

 

Reports to: the Medical Officer (MO) and the Project Manager (PM).

 

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Enter detailed data of all medical events from partner hospitals and clinics directly into the M-FUND platform. 
  • Review/reconcile all data with source documents/invoices.
  • Ensure the quality of the medical information captured in the M-FUND application.
  • Maintain hospital/clinic records in digital formats (excel file, document file).
  • Retrieve data from the database or excel files as requested.
  • Assist the MO to check the medical events/costs of monthly invoices from partner hospitals and clinics. 
  • Assist the MO in overseeing all medical claims.
  • Follow up on incomplete or erroneous information with regard to medical events of M-FUND members in the partner hospitals.
  • Other tasks, as needed and as requested by the MO/PM and/or the Head of Programs.

 

Qualifications required:

Education:

  • High School Education is required. Basic medical/public health training is desirable.

 

Work Experience: 

  • At least 1 or 2 years of work experience related to data entry.
  • Experience working in clinic settings or with healthcare organizations, a strong plus. 

 

Skills and competencies: 

  • Fluent in Thai, with a working proficiency in English. Good command of Burmese and Karen a strong plus.
  • Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Basic understanding of databases.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Ability to operate in a multicultural team environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Energetic, motivated, and able to work under strict timelines and pressure.

 

Working Environment: 

The position will be based in Mae Sot city, Tak Province. This position will be mainly working in the DLP office.
