Community Partners International focuses on helping communities affected by conflict, violence, and displacement, in remote and hard-to-reach contexts, and marginalized by poverty and exclusion.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide support in monitoring and evaluation to prepare M&E plans, reports, and indicators to capture project performance and results of the humanitarian and developmental projects implemented across the country by Community Partners International
  • Oversee data collection and data entry system of partner organization and conduct routine data verification.
  • Conduct data analysis and prepare report to measure project progress and achievements according to M&E plan in terms of using current database tools.
  • Work closely with program staff in terms of data collection activities, data verification, and providing feedback to partner organizations.
  • Ensure appropriate flow of data and other key information for decision-making to the relevant program personnel and other stakeholders.
  • Undertake regular field visits to monitor the project implementation, data recording system at the field level and perform Routine Data Quality Assessment
  • Support M&E Manager by reviewing the literature, desk review of the existing health and humanitarian research documents and submitting analysis report.

Regular Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain training curricula and handbooks, then conduct tailored training on such topics as presenting indicators, designing quality data collection tools, standardizing information systems, creating parameter queries, etc.
  • Maintain documentation and implementation of M&E activities that are in line with training curricula and practices, providing recommendations for changes as needed that are taken into account of the local context and mainstream emerging successful practices.
  • Review/clearance of M&E reports of CPI partner organizations and provide feedback to partners focusing on data quality and M&E performance.
  • Ensure accurate and timely information is available to senior management and team members.
  • Conduct other duties as assigned.

Evaluations, assessments, and learning

  • Support Monitoring and Evaluation Manager for program evaluations, assessments, and dissemination of results through review meetings and publishing reports to promote learning across the programs.
  • Support in designing both quantitative and qualitative surveys, facilitating data collection and analysis to promote data-driven learning process to make efficient program implementation.

Partner Support

  • Access M&E capacity of CPI partner organizations, share the assessment results and develop a plan for M&E capacity building-activities for them.
  • Regular monitoring visits to partner organizations and provide technical assistance on partners’ M&E system according to their requirements.
  • Support necessary assistance in utilizing electronic databases and manipulating database objects for accurate data collection, analysis, report, and dissemination among stakeholders.
  • Provide capacity need assessment regarding M&E to partner staff and conduct/ facilitate necessary trainings.

Capacity Building and Supporting Staff

  • Provide inputs for survey/research design, sampling, and questionnaires development (if necessary)
  • Provide M&E, data collection, collation and analysis trainings to internal staff as needed.

Operations and Administration

  • Maintain regular contact with M&E focal persons from donor agencies, partner organizations, and relevant stakeholders.
  • Involve in the development of the team’s work plan and cost estimation on monthly basis and communicate closely with CPI program team members for required operations.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Medicine, Public Health, Community Health, or relevant field 
  • Master's degree in Statistics, Research, Public Health, or Epidemiology preferred. 
  • At least five years of professional experience in executing and implementing monitoring, evaluation, health information system, and related activities.
  • Experience working in public health and humanitarian programs preferred. 
  • Sound understanding of quantitative and qualitative research methodology is an asset. 
  • Proficiency in statistics, MS Office application, statistical software (R/Stata, SPSS, Epi Info, Atlas ti. Or Nvivo) and online data collection tools and SQL database.
  • Experience utilizing and managing database and information management software. 
  • Experience coordinating with governments, ministries and/or local CSOs, as well as local communities, for the design and implementation of surveys and other data collection techniques.
  • Fluency in both speaking and writing English. 
  • Proven analytic and good report writing skills, ability to present monitoring data and survey findings clearly. 
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as being part of a team.
  • Highly organized and able to work to deadlines. 
  • Confident and cooperative, even under pressure. Ability to quickly develop a strong understanding of the local cultural and political context and be able to motivate others and work successfully within these contexts.
