Precious Plastic Bangkok, a community-based project, aims to significantly boost Thailand's recycling rate by equipping local communities with the necessary tools and education.
We're seeking an enthusiastic and outgoing Project Manager who shares our passion for community development, environmental issues, sustainability, plastics, and recycling.
Responsibilities for Project Manager
Formulate project plans and manage the delivery of PPB's project objectives: increasing recycling rates, helping boost the entrepreneurial skills of communities, and furthering plastic reduction efforts.
Monitor and evaluate project needs, capacity gaps, and opportunities for the organization to develop new activities, objectives, or project goals.
Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress.
Formulate interim reports and final reports for funders as necessary.
Support PPB’s director in formulating project proposals and budgets.
Identify collaborations with potential partners to work in unison to help communities tackle plastic waste.
Supervise financial activities and preparation of documents to support the organization's overall workflow.
Qualifications for Project Manager
A bachelor's degree in environmental science, community development, or related fields is preferred.
At least 2 years of project management and related experience in environment work or community development.
Strong knowledge of community development, environment, eco-system, recycling, or materials science.
Experience in working with communities and is accustomed to the dynamics of the communities
Proven ability to lead a team, solve problems creatively, excellent analytical and management skills
Strong project management and resource management skills
Strong interpersonal skills and highly resourceful
Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline
Fluency in English and Thai
This position is open to Thai nationals only.
Desirable skills and experience:
Experience or interest in community development or environmental work
Knowledge of project management, financial reporting, monitoring, and evaluation methodology
Type of appointment: Full-time (40 hours/week) Mon-Fri 9.00-18.00 + occasional weekends
Location: FREC Bangkok https://bit.ly/3fYsAOy with occasional travel to different venues.
Salary: 30,000 - 40,000 baht/month (Negotiable, based on experience)
