Kindernothilfe e.V. (KNH), established in 1959, is a not-for-profit organization committed to supporting vulnerable and marginalized children in realizing their full potential. KNH works with local NGOs and networks in over 30 countries across Africa, Asia, Latin America, and Eastern Europe to promote and protect children’s rights. In Germany, KNH engages in advocacy, education, and public awareness focused on development policies and the implementation of the Child Rights Convention.

In Thailand, KNH partners with local NGOs and networks to implement child rights-based projects and empower women through Self-Help Groups (SHGs). These initiatives span Northern Thailand, Shan State in Myanmar, and Bokeo in Lao PDR, aiming to foster sustainable development, community self-reliance, and the fulfillment of children’s rights.

Purpose of the Position

To provide administrative, logistical, and programmatic support to the KNH Thailand team and its local partners, ensuring smooth implementation of projects aligned with KNH’s Child Rights Approach and quality standards.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Assist in organizing meetings, workshops, and training sessions for local partners and stakeholders.
  • Support the Programme Coordinator in collecting, compiling, and reviewing project documentation and reports.
  • Help maintain and update project databases, files, and records in accordance with KNH standards.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements, logistics, and communication for field visits and partner activities.
  • Support financial documentation and budget tracking in collaboration with the Finance Manager.
  • Contribute to the preparation of internal and external reports, presentations, and communication materials.
  • Provide translation and interpretation support (Thai-English) when needed.
  • Perform other administrative and program-related tasks as assigned by the Programme Coordinator.

Qualifications: 

  • ·       Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • ·       Prior experience (1–2 years) in a support role within NGOs, development projects, or community-based organizations is preferred.
  • ·       Basic understanding of child rights and community development is an advantage
  • ·       Thai nationals only

Required Skills:

  • ·       Strong organizational and time management skills
  • ·       Attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • ·       Good interpersonal and communication skills, especially in multicultural settings
  • ·       Proficiency in Thai and English writing
  • ·       Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • ·       Competent in data analysis, including basic interpretation and presentation of program or operational data
  • ·       Demonstrated administrative capacity, including scheduling, documentation, logistics coordination, and support for team operations

Contract: One year contract (Possible to turn Permanent based on Performance)

Work station: Onsite - Chiang Mai
