RECOFTC is currently seeking a qualified candidate to work as the Finance and Administrative Officer and be part of the Corporate Services team. The successful applicant will be based in Bangkok, Thailand. The contract duration is for 24 months with a possibility of extension subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance. The position is for Thai national only.

 

Position summary

The Finance and Administrative Officer works as a team member of the Corporate Services Unit and reports directly to the Corporate Services Director. S/he will be accountable to other finance and administration staff, clients, partners, collaborators and funding agencies. S/he will provide support to the development, implementation, coordination of finance matters, and the monitoring and evaluation, and management of resources for Corporate Services (CS) Unit.

 

Responsibilities and duties

Detailed responsibilities and duties of the Finance and Administrative Officer are listed below:

 

Finance

  • Manage petty cash
  • Ensure effective accountability of all payment; verify budget plan for CS Director’s approval on CS expenditures; Check and review documents for CS Director’s approval
  • Compile and distribute financial and management report
  • Monitor financial status of CS Unit
  • Advise on finance and accounting policy and practice to CS and other unit’s staff members
  • Work with seven Country Accounts and Administrative Officers in completing accounts and administrative matters in the countries timely and in compliance with RECOFTC’s and RECOFTC donor’s policies and procedures

 

 

 

 

Administration

  • Provide administrative arrangements for the implementing of CS operations and activities, including procurement and related logistic arrangement to CS staff and consultant
  • Provide other administrative and secretarial supports, including taking minutes of meetings and following up on delegated tasks with Corporate Services Director
  • Keep track and terms of all contracts with donors, partners, project, and consultants; Maintain information databases of relevant consultants and partners on RECOFTC intranet
  • Assist in adjusting and finalizing finance and accounting policy
  • Provide training to staff in relevant financial and accounting processes, administration and logistic support
  • Design, manage, and maintain electronic and paper filing systems and its archives
  • Monitor and follow up in and outgoing correspondence both internally and externally
  • Assist finance staff in coordinating and communicating with other units within RECOFTC
  • Perform any other tasks that may be assigned by CS Director

 

Qualifications and experience

The Finance and Administrative Officer will have the following essential and desirable qualifications and experience:

 

Essential

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or other related field
  • Five years’ experience in administration role, with financial monitoring responsibility
  • Experience in working with international non-profit organizations
  • Ability to prioritize, plan and organize work in a busy environment
  • Attention to details and self-motivation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access) and accounting software, knowledge of SAP system would be advantage
  • Excellent spoken and written Thai and English, and able to communicate in international environment 
  • Hand-on experience and able to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Thai nationality

 

Desirable

  • Experience in contracting and administering consultants’ contract
  • Experience in project and/or Finance and  administration
  • Experience in procurement for institution

 

General
