Project Manager (iTPA programme)

Location: Faculty of Tropical Medicine, Mahidol University (close to Victory Monument)

Background:

This post is based at the Mahidol Oxford Tropical Medicine Research Unit (MORU) in Bangkok. MORU, established in 1979 as a research collaboration between Mahidol University (Thailand), Oxford University (UK) and the UK's Wellcome Trust, the Mahidol Oxford Tropical Medicine Research Unit (MORU) conducts targeted clinical trials and public health research that aim to discover and develop appropriate, affordable interventions that measurably improve the health of people living in resource-limited parts of the world.

This position is located within MORU’s Economic and Implementation Research Group (EIRG). This position will have a role supporting the MORU Translational Research Strategy and to accelerate the early translation of research to health impact.

Responsibilities:

The primary role of the post-holder will be to provide project management to iTPA projects in the iTPA project portfolio including;

  • To provide leadership in the development of the project management infrastructure and processes to iTPA Projects

  • Supporting the iTPA projects leaders to develop project development plan toward translational roadmap.

  • Manage and monitor iTPA projects progression to meet project milestones and budget as well as compliance to funding source, MORU and partner‘s policy and conditions.

  • Work with the iTPA project leaders to identify key project partners.

  • Work with the iTPA project leaders to optimize the interaction with different project partners to achieve outcome and impact.

  • Identify gaps to translation of the iTPA project and provide necessary support through appropriate internal and external consultancy or expert in the area.

  • Seeking collaboration opportunities for iTPA projects with external stakeholders through networking event, conferences and meetings

  • Work together with EIRG team to support iTPA and EIRG development and MORU translational research strategy.

  • Performs iTPA related tasks as required by the supervisor.


 


 

Skill and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences related fields, Public health; Public Policy with MBA is an advantage.

  • Experience working with academic medical research or public health projects will be an advantage.

  • Experience working in private sector and life science‘s related or pharmaceutical industry.

  • Systematic thinking, analytical and project management skills

  • Good command of written and spoken English

  • Able to work as a team and independently

 

Terms & conditions

 

The post is based in Bangkok at the Mahidol Oxford Research unit (https://www.tropmedres.ac/).

The salary will be based on MORU scales and will depend on experience and qualifications.

 

The salary package includes:

 

  1. 13th months of salary

  2. health and life insurance

  3. social Security

  4. provident Fund

  5. 20 days of annual leave
