Food Safety and Quality Improvement Specialist
(For Climate Change Agriculture implementation in Thailand Project)
Position: Food Safety and Quality Improvement Specialist (only for Thai citizen)

AETS in association with its partners will be participating the bidding process for an ADB project Climate Change Adaptation in Agriculture for Enhanced Recovery and Sustainability of Highlands.
Large area of deforestation in northern Thailand has been practice mono-cropping of maize farms due to low farmer capacity, ineffective extension support, and weak incentives for changes. The project aims to strengthen capacity of local governments and communities to cope with climate change impacts and demonstrate climate-smart agriculture (CSA) practices and technologies through following activities;
(i) baseline data assessment; (ii) demonstration of climate-smart agricultural practices; (iii) enhancing agricultural product quality, value addition and market linkages and (iv) capacity of local governments and farming communities
QUALIFICATION REQUIRED
The consultant ideally will have a master’s degree in food science, food technology, or other related disciplines, with at least 4 years of experience in food quality and safety risk assessment in value chains, food standards and regulation, and traceability. The consultant will have strong skills in spoken and written English, and report writing. Working closely with the team leader and deputy team leader.
