Job title: Child Safeguarding Coordinator
Contract: 1 year renewable
Reports to: HWF Director
Liaises with: HWF Programme/Project Manager, Migrant Learning Centers under HWF support, Partner organizations

Job purpose
The Child Safeguarding Coordinator will work closely with the Migrant Learning Centers (MLCs) and Education teams under Help without Frontiers Thailand Foundation, and with other education stakeholders to ensure that Child Safeguarding policies are updated, implemented and monitored with maximum efficiency. The activities include providing comprehensive risk assessments, and monitoring CSG in the MLCs supported by HWF. The Child Safeguarding Coordinator will also act as HWF’s Child Protection Focal Point person, and will collaborate with a network of stakeholders operating within the Migrant Child Protection in Education context. The Coordinator will facilitate a working group amongst stakeholders to promote a common Child Safeguarding minimum standard policy; plan and deliver capacity-building training; and monitor and report on Child Safeguarding in the migrant area.
Duties and Responsibilities
Support and monitor Child Safeguarding within the MLCs under HWF
Child Safeguarding Network – Migrant Education setting
Establish a Child Safeguarding in Migrant Education Working Group, including developing the TOR and having the TOR signed by the top management level of Working Group members, and develop and carry out a monitoring plan with the working group.
Develop a common standard and practice on Child Safeguarding among stakeholders working with MLCs in Tak Province.
Conduct a review of Child Safeguarding Policy implementation across the stakeholders and partners through the Compliance Action Plan.
Strengthen agreements on teachers and education staff who work closely with children and youth, and implement, monitor and advocate this to be the minimum standard of recruitment process across all stakeholders’ organizations and partners.
Apply critical analysis to ensure that we live up to our commitment to making Working Group members and partners safe for children by ensuring child safeguarding concerns are reported effectively and in line with the policy, acting as the referral point.
Ensure mapping of service providers for children is completed in Working Group members’ and partners’ operational areas.
Be a focal point person in Child Protection Networking (CPN), attending regular network meetings and joining events/campaigns organized by CPN.
Other
Contribute, as requested by the HWF Thailand Director, to the development of project proposals and work plans, and the objectives, advocacy strategy and annual budgets to ensure that they align with effective project implementation.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or other relevant field of study.
At least 3 years experience in Child Safeguarding, Child Protection working context, case management.
Demonstrated understanding of Child rights, Child Protection issues and case management.
Experience in designing and delivering capacity-building training and assessment tools.
Ability to speak, listen, read and write at the professional level in Thai or Burmese, and English.
Ability to work in partnership with different stakeholders, including Thai government officers.
Ability to work under pressure and in multicultural settings.
